'Argumentative' - when the likes of you post nonsense

http://www.seatguru.com/charts/longhaul_economy.php

FACT - legroom has got less over the years I've been flying economy and Quantas are not 'up there' with generosity

Bearing this in mind and your laughable suggestion I hadn't been to Crimea - not long before it 'changed hands' and JG's  "moby's not been through KBP' in answer to info that is BANG ON and VERY recent  - is somewhat sad

What is clear is that where folks get collected by Uber is strangely varied

So I checked... 'guess what' ...?

http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g294474-i3663-k10382016-Uber_from_boryspil_airport-Kiev.html

Seems to reflect MY experience - I know about the bus as we bought a ticket and used UBER ;)
More tosh from Moby.
Вокзал is most certainly not the Centre. To go to the centre proper would cost another 25 UAH or so.

Dear JG

I realise your Brextremist world is falling apart, but questioning  what we paid on the metro from the vozhal is a new form of low..even for you...

Please tell us .... with something to back up your assertion that prices and trips  we've just done,  are 'incorrect'' ))

Brexit is going just fine. You, however, should start packing and get ready for your move to that EU paradise you espouse.

I don’t recall you saying you went anywhere by Metro? So you’re trying to make an issue out of your own failing.

Well, the pound dropping won’t make any difference to you seeing as you haven’t gone too many of those jingling in your pocket.

I'm 'sorry' but the only apology you're getting is the small chance you didn't really understand the cost of a Metro ride in Kyiv

As to the rest of your 'responses' - the usual JG - pure trolling

We are here - because you were stupid enough to suggest

1/ I wasn't where I said I was

2/ My prices were 'wrong'

3/ Then suggested I had  no money ? .....

ALL I did was give my VERY recent experience of KBP and the journey to the centre ....

Moby,

I am confused how did you get from KBP to where? And when?

You mention walking, but that is a L O O N G hike. Add baggage and inclement weather, ugh.

There is a fairly good bus service from KBP to a train/metro/bus station on the right bank of Kiev. If you know how to navigate the terrain it is easy peasey.

"You mention walking, but that is a L O O N G hike. Add baggage and inclement weather, ugh."

it's NOT that long of a walk to get out of KBP, just head across the parking lot in front!
several times i've walked from KBP to the hotel (good restaurant!) that's nearby with luggage, you don't need a taxi

but to go "downtown" from KBP on foot, no way....
a gazillion taxi drivers are vying for your attention
pick one or be a cheapskate and wait at the bus stop for the bus just outside the airport

Half way between Terminal D (the new one) and B (the sort of cool old one) is Hotel Boryspil. Been there for ever. But you are not leaving the airport proper. In fact the premium bus service is not so bad to Kiev.

Hotel Boryspil is within easy walking distance of the main airport terminal and is right on the M-03 highway
so if you have a fear of taxis, just walk here and look for a bus stop sign, which is right outside Hotel Boryspil
M-03 takes you straight to downtown Kyiv in 10-15 min by car, i've never taken the bus, my guess is double that amount of time

As amusing as this all is, the way I read moby's post is, he took a bus to the train station from the airiport, and walked to the city centre from the train station.  That is easily done, as it is about a 15 minute, hilly walk to Khreshchatik (downhill, uphill, turn right, uphill near Vladimirsky Sobor, then downhill).  He took the metro back to the train station.

M-03 takes you straight to downtown Kyiv in 10-15 min by car, i've never taken the bus, my guess is double that amount of time

The hotel is on the airport access road --NOT the M-03   and Av describes correctly  ie half way to the old terminal.
It is south of the current terminal -- and not "across" .
As you exit the new/current terminal turn left and it is at least  400 metres.

I do not know if the bus stop is there --but  I doubt it . There is certainly busses stopping just at the end of the terminal building( south end)

If describing the old terminal and going across to hotel -I would agree with that.

Half way between Terminal D (the new one) and B (the sort of cool old one) is Hotel Boryspil. Been there for ever. But you are not leaving the airport proper. In fact the premium bus service is not so bad to Kiev.
