In days gone by Mrs M had a hard time distinguishing between phrases such as take off/put on, etc. Another was how to offer something, as in putting more food on someones plate. She would say things like, May I add you some potatoes?

Years ago we were ready to leave our church in Phoenix and had planned to stop by home to change our clothes before visiting friends. Urging me to speed up goodbyes to friends that we hadn't seen for awhile, she smiled and explained that we needed to go home and take off clothes before visiting friends. Fortunately, it was a Russian Orthodox church and as most everyone were themselves immigrants, it brought smiles but they understood.

My RW is fond of telling me what to do, with a smile of course :)

"You will invite me to your apartment tomorrow."

And she also likes to ask me a question followed by, "There is only one answer."

Yes, must be the case.

My spouse says nothing like those words.
I generally correct everything said in error.
Not too much of it these days.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.
