I understand that Momma D's Russian Grandson has been accepted to Stanford and will be going there next fall.

Getting into Stanford is incredibly difficult. You must have perfect grades, you must score very very well on your Sat's, the competition to go there is very very tough. I played basketball on scholarship (I never had an offer from Stanford) so things were easier for me, but I never would never have qualified academically for Stanford. I had good grades but it takes SUPER grades to qualify.

Since I attended Stanford myself, learned to recite the Lord's Prayer properly there; "Our father who art at Stanford, Frederick E.Terman be his name.....".  I applaud Momma D's young grandson, he will get a great education at UC Stanford.
