Well not exactly MY phone - it was a Russian phone - on Beeline - roaming on the tiny Med island of Cyprus - what is more in the Turkish controlled zone that only Turkey recognises as a nation


I was excited about the possibilities re 5G - due in 2020 - but this improvement in 4G allows throughput of up to 1Gb/s on many recent phones AND if you haven't heard of IoT ( Internet of Things ) devices - you soon will - it's my baby at the mo...

This article is a year and a half old - but I wasn't expecting to see such developments on this tiny island !

The Chinese have a crappy wired infrastructure and have got this std approved worldwide ..
