Anyone experienced with PayPal
« on: March 07, 2005, 03:13:20 PM »
I have never used paypal, but I am thinking of using it to fund some monthly fees to match maker web sites.  I have done this before with credit cards, but some of the websites make it difficult to cancel and want to keep charging your credit card forever.

As I read the PayPal info, they only send payments to a business when you tell them to.  You put money into your PayPal account by giving PayPal a credit card number.

But then, am I just trading one problem for another since PayPal may start charging amounts to my credit card that I didn't want them to.

Apparently PayPal is widely used to buy things on e-bay and such, but I have no experience there either.

Those of you who have actually used PayPal, please give me some input.
Thanks.

I use pay pal on my site. I have had no problems with them at all. I also buy with pay pal for about 2 years, I have never been charge for something that I didnot buy.

not one person buying from my site has told me of any charges that were fake.

In order to pay someone via your Paypal account you login to your account and pay them to their registered screename at Paypal.  Whether you pay in a bank account transfer or CC,  it is a non-recurring payment.  For each payment you initiate the payment from your Paypal account.  I used mine about 500 times and never had any problem.
