Re sim - Airport is near enough same price -- it is not much regardless and convenience way over rides cost ! :)
A suit will make you look like a complete tool !! ( which Moby is !!)
Our JayH is a little secretive as to his relationship status - but this 'tool' wasn't seeking a new partner - unlike you
It is my preference to wear a suit to meet a lady as :
1/ I feel smart - and if your lady is 'classy enough' to meet you at the airport - why not make the effort, too ?
2/ When the upgrades and better leg-room seats are going free - guess who gets them ?
I have seen the prices for data / call charges be more than DOUBLE at airport offerings ... with the allowances less than half...
Perhaps the JayH's of this world don't check these things... ? EVERYONE knows that airports are captive markets and things cost more - same applies to Sims

If me, get sim at airport, several booths near exchange stations arrivals hall. Then you can call or get a call if needed.

You mention walking, but that is a L O O N G hike. Add baggage and inclement weather, ugh.
There is a fairly good bus service from KBP to a train/metro/bus station on the right bank of Kiev. If you know how to navigate the terrain it is easy peasey.

it's NOT that long of a walk to get out of KBP, just head across the parking lot in front!
several times i've walked from KBP to the hotel (good restaurant!) that's nearby with luggage, you don't need a taxi
but to go "downtown" from KBP on foot, no way....
a gazillion taxi drivers are vying for your attention
pick one or be a cheapskate and wait at the bus stop for the bus just outside the airport

Half way between Terminal D (the new one) and B (the sort of cool old one) is Hotel Boryspil. Been there for ever. But you are not leaving the airport proper. In fact the premium bus service is not so bad to Kiev.

so if you have a fear of taxis, just walk here and look for a bus stop sign, which is right outside Hotel Boryspil
M-03 takes you straight to downtown Kyiv in 10-15 min by car, i've never taken the bus, my guess is double that amount of time

As amusing as this all is, the way I read moby's post is, he took a bus to the train station from the airiport, and walked to the city centre from the train station. That is easily done, as it is about a 15 minute, hilly walk to Khreshchatik (downhill, uphill, turn right, uphill near Vladimirsky Sobor, then downhill). He took the metro back to the train station.

Moby, you need to take a step back, take inventory of your life. When I read your posts, I am reading the posts of a Man who is clearly not “happy”. When I watched your youtube video you posted this morning, there is some chemical imbalance in your brain. Very likely you are suffering from depression, although it could be something similar such as dysthymic disorder or a number of other phychiatric conditions listed in the DSM V.
You need to seek treatment from a Board-Certified Psyciatrist. I know for a fact there are many excellent Psychiatrists in the UK. There is no reason for you not to schedule an appointment and spend at least a solid hour talking to an excellent Psychiatrist. This is what he/she is trained to do Moby – help patients such as yourself who do have a chemical imbalance in their brain.
Depression is not a death sentence. It can be successfully treated both with behavioral therapy as well as pharmacologically. I suffer from major clinical depression and have been treated for it for over 10 years now. Wellbutrin (buproprion is the generic) is a phenomenal atypical anti-depressant that is one of the few Meds used to treat depression that actually promotes weight LOSS rather than weight gain and gives you MORE energy, not less. Likewise, both my Mom and my Sister are being treated for Depression with Buproprion. It is a phenomenal drug and has done wonders for all 3 of us.
I don’t have a problem with you having depression, Moby. What I do have a problem with is you being in DENIAL of your depression and not getting treatment for it. The chemical imbalance in your brain does not only affect you, it affects everyone around you. You mention your elderly Mom sometimes. I know you have a wonderful, happy Marriage to SC. Your depression absolutely deleteriously affects how you interact with and treat your Mom and SC. Don’t get treatment from a Psychiatrist because of me. Don’t do it for yourself. Do it for your loved ones, those you interact with very frequently. You can either suffer the rest of your life with a negative affect, being a real downer to those around you and bringing them down to your level. Or you can make the difficult but proper decision to go seek treatment. Not only will your life improve dramatically, Moby, but SC will be a much happier Wife, your Mom will be a much happier Mom.
I wrote this not to belittle you or criticize you. I wrote it because I do care about you Moby. I want to see you get “back on the right track”. Good luck to you.

The old computer is long dead and is in a dump someplace. I did have some photos
