Even if it is difficult to meet sincere, fine RW, it is still possible.  If possible, it is worth the trouble. 

Why do I say such?  RW are much. much more than a pretty face and slender body.  Yesterday, I returned home for a three-day golf trip to Georgia with 7 of my friends.  When I arrived home, my wife was in bed.....  [PAUSE...THIS IS NOT GOING WHERE YOU SICKOS ARE THINKING]. 

She was ill.  Her muscles ached, and her head hurt.  I started asking empathetic questions.  She said "shhhh," rose from the bed and motioned me to another room.  She opened the door and showed me the explanation.  While I was away, she and her daughter had stripped the wall-to-wall carpet and replaced it with wood laminate flooring they purchased from Home Depot.

It was a DIY project.  I knew nothing about this other than a couple of remarks (" the carpet is old").  They carried all the heavy material from my truck (which she despises driving) to the second floor (12' ceilings).  No wonder she was exhausted.   They did the measuring, sawing and nailing.  She still had glue residue  on her bare feet, and in keeping with  RW-style  apologized for not cleaning them thoroughly. 

You may ask me why she surprised me.   I will not ask, as  I surmise she had many reasons,  and one likely one being  I am too slow in everything from planning to cleaning up. 

This is the same woman who made a living for 13 years as a runway fashion model in Europe and Russia.  Do you see the picture.  And  I will not bore you with countless other examples of her being Super Woman.  All the married men here at RWD have similar stories. 

Thus, I advise  you to try.  The prize is very valuable.   I wish you find a woman who makes your life as rich as mine.

I'd say the idea is well and truly alive, for the men at least. It just may not be what people describe as what used to be the proverbial glory days.

FSU women are still 'the look' for fashion/modelling which is what men want and what women want to look like. Those women would most likely not be attainable but they definitely help the idea.

The recent Ukraine issues does not help (some here may see it as an opportunity) either with a drop of almost 40% of visitors from USA 2013-2014.

Daily website visits approaching 1000 isn't anything to sneeze at. Even if 50% were bounces that's still pretty high at 500. Whether someone posts that they got married here is not that relevant, it is simply a member getting married and there are far more guests than members, and most likely far more that don't even read these forums.

The true test of whether it's dead is when the international dating sites/agencies close down and how many active members they have, not forums like this. It doesn't matter if it's a legit, legit with scammers or a pure scammer, the western man will sign up and pay whatever it is because he has been sold on the idea. Whether he makes it all the way to marriage (and maintains the marriage) is another story riddled with obstacles such as financing and time.
