I have wondered in the past about travel between Odessa and Tiraspol  and Moldova.  Video is current October 1, 2021.

Taking a train from Odessa to Chisinau (Ukraine to Moldova)

interesting highlights: coal stove to heat train car, "modern plumbing" , border control.
