They may deport Selena Gomez lol.

Anyone seen much of the crack down on illegal migrants where you are?

Guess some may have to put their dream of hot Hispanic house maids on hold :P

Ok, well as a break from the usual here is another great video from You Tube to take a peek at:

http://youtu.be/BJtC9y0fdO8?si=God-O5VcAs5-QpZb

Woman gets up herself after doing well at work, her bloke is no longer good enough so she ditches him as she thinks she can get better, only....

I think the main problem is that women perceive their success as a singe woman based on how many men flirt with them or try to sleep with them even while they are married.
But these men are mostly interested with no strings attache relationship so a married woman is attractive for this purpose.
But same men might not be interested in taking a responsibility and committing to a single woman.

Also I keep noticing mostly among FSUW that if a woman was highly desirable in her 20s, this sort of forms her frame of mind forever with respect to men. She stays as demanding/entitled  and picky and expects to be treated as a princess because
this is what she is used to totally forgetting that by now is is no longer such a great catch. Really sad to watch.

One think I disagree with in his video is that men don't care about woman's wealth. Throughout history men cared about woman's or her family's wealth when getting married. in Russia for example a woman even a very beautiful one, could not marry unless she had "pridannoe" a money form her parents which translated to an income for a couple.
In more modern day Indians also select wives based not only on looks but on her job and social status.
Marriage was hardly ever about love throughout history it was first and foremost a business deal.

I highly suggest watching Zhestokij Romans on this topic where a very beautiful girl's life gets totally destroyed even though
she is highly desirable by men simply because when it comes to marrying her none of the admires want to do it.
They all marry for money

when my friends, especially younger friends, are dating, they men do totally wan to know what they do for living.
The argument he makes that if the woman is successful then her personality might be off anyways is sort of correct
but it's taking it to extreme. A woman doesn't have to be career driven ambitious go getter to have a good job making good money. I for example was never ambitious or career driven and still made good money due to my profession.

Thanks Olga, it's definitely good to have a female perspective on this board. I think first and foremost you are right, it's very sad to watch when a girl (or even guy) with promise in life from having something good going for them, totally messes it up. In theory I shouldn't really feel sorry for them as they have been dealt a good hand in life and so had an advantage others didn't have, but some of the stuff like the story above in the link just feels too sad.

I mean she will be out there now, in her fancy loft apartment, the glamorous life she hoped for achieved but a very bitter achievement. She's there lonely, feeling unfulfilled, chances to have a family now passed, and can now only regretfully look back on the life she would have had if she had stayed with that guy. She got awestruck by the vision of a glamorous life and it betrayed her. Her Mother had wise words when she said 'not to chase ghosts' but she unfortunately went ahead and did so. Probably seemed a tough choice to make but a very bad decision for her. She unfortunately can't ever go back but it looks like she really wishes she could. She did a bad thing in ditching him but the penalty she faces just looks very severe, it really is a very unhappy sad story for her, not nice to see in life.

Not so sure about what men go for, interesting to see that you find it can be money, etc. I guess it could be in poorer cultures where it's important not to be too poor. Unless a girl can get some good money by being attractive looking in those cultures (and I don't really mean as a prostitute) then she could be like a dead weight. In the West I think a lot of men pay attention to attractive looking women a lot. On here it often comes up as desirable, but in reality a girls character is important too. Girls who are pretty but can't be trusted, have bad attitudes, aren't genuine enough, etc usually don't make good long term partners.

A girl who is brainy is an interesting one, can probably be a pain if too brainy as much as it may be an asset. A bimbo on the other hand may be fun for a bit but can probably get boring soon and possibly be issues connecting with her. Finding someone on enough of the right wavelength is probably a good thing to do.

I know, I could stuff things up like her. Sometimes I get a bit carried away and need to remind myself to come back down to earth. Better to not let my thoughts get the better of me like this lady's did I think. Still at least there is always alcohol & Netflix lol.

When my daughter was around 15 or so, my good friend from India was at our house.
He was describing to us how girl's parents would have to pay boy's parents for them to agree to let their son marry the daughter.

The idea was that girl's parents were giving up a financial responsibility while the boy's parents were taking on a financial responsibility.

Referring to my daughter he told her:  Since you are intelligent, your parents will have to pay even more to make sure you are able to marry an intelligent boy.

My daughter was quite 'wide eyed' at this discussion !!

regarding whom men choose I am just saying that in general marrying for love is a relatively new and unusual thing in the long history of mankind everywhere including Western Europe. I a talking strictly about marital union NOT about what women men prefer as a sexual partner.

and yes in case of Indians it's very expensive to marry off a daughter! This is why ther were so many selective abortions of girls in India, and lots more in China due to one child policy.

I have read that in India due to shortage of young women in some villages it's now common to have only one wife sor several brothers.

In china the situation with lack of women is pretty bad almost 5 young men for 4 young women

I noticed this exactly in a few instances.

The woman would tell me in emails that she hadn't even been on a date in x months or even years.

Then, when we met up she was suddenly acting like the prom queen.

yes exactly and starts with "man MUST this and that because he is a man" and a woman must nothing LOL
Just yesterday I saw a video of a RUssian lady in Miami describing her dating with american men.
She said some men mention they like slavic women due to their traditional values while american women won't
cook, clean or take care of a man.
She told the viewers she didn't know how to tell him she too is for traditional values but NOT for being a cook and a maid. :D
So in reality for many the traditional values is for a man to behave like  a traditional man but not for a woman!
A woman is free to do whatever she wants :D

And this is from women well past their prime

regarding whom men choose I am just saying that in general marrying for love is a relatively new and unusual thing in the long history of mankind everywhere including Western Europe.

Yes, among royalty, marriage was to consolidate two or more kingdoms, or at least promote friendship or stave off war, etc.

This filtered down to the business class as marriage to enlarge the businesss, combine wholesale with retail operations, or shipping, etc.

For more common folks, particularly the girls parents had goal of best financial security for their daughter.

A little different issue, but I remember seeing a film when I was a teenager (set in plantation era in south I think) where father was telling his son to focus on young women who had good facial bone structure.

I was thinking . . . who the he!! cares about that.

But later I realized that good facial bone structure is very important, particularly as the woman aged.  It is much more important than a young woman's striking beauty or cuteness.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

A young Indian woman has spoken out about being married to five husbands, all of whom are brothers.

Rajo Verma, 21, lives in one room with the siblings and they sleep on blankets on the floor.

The mother-of-one, who sleeps each night with a different brother, does not know which of her five related husbands is the father of her 18-month-old son.   I don’t favour one over the other, she said.

Rajo said she knew she was expected to accept all of her husbands, as her own mother had also been married to three brothers.

The set-up may seem peculiar, but it is tradition in the small village near Dehradun, Northern India, for women to also marry the brothers of their first husband.  The practice is believed to be a way of keeping farming land in the family.

'We all have sex with her but I’m not jealous,' first husband Guddu  - who remains the only official spouse - said. 'We’re one big happy family.'

She added: 'I get a lot more attention and love than most wives.'
- - - - -

I can see how that would be a plus for the woman.

And, as men age and are able to perform less frequently . . . she can still have frequent sex !!!

A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

Boy's parents also had their criteria. Apparently in Russian village they preferred stalky full bodied girls who can work in a fields and survive during bad harvest years
