Bill, I just wanted to say welcome to Wyoming. These May snow storms are the norm and an early June snow is not all that rare. I live in Casper.

Angel Eyes said she wasn't hungry but I told her I was going to barbecue some
provisions for her to pack in the ice chest, because we were going for a drive in
the mountains and walk around and smell the roses. She LOVES going to the
mountains and she bustled off to start a beehive of activities.

Of course Angel Eyes wants to see every pebble, blade of grass, Mountain, tree or
squirrel all in the same day. I pulled up some maps online and made a route. Angel
Eyes packed up and ice chest with all kinds of stuff to eat and we took off to
"see the nature"

Angel Eyes loves driving and hiking around in the mountains. Mini-me
seems content enough as long as he gets to run around outside frequently
enough. Since there is something photo worthy around every corner we
tend to stop a lot if there is light enough to see.

Angel Eyes always packs a shovel and a bucket and a long plastic bin for me
to dig up various mountain flowers. This trip I was supposed to be on the lookout
for pretty or interesting rocks as well. I spotted these so we stopped to load some
into the pickup for later arrangement in Angel Eyes garden.

In the old days I could pretty much lift anything, but after many strains later, I have
learned not to pick up the biggest rock that I could budge. We still had plenty of
rocks that will look great in Angel Eyes garden

Mini-me has always been a pretty good helper, but posing for photos is not
something that he will help with. His job is to run around and you are on
your own if you want to record the event for posterity.

For those who have been following my adventure. I told Angel Eyes that it's
a very important tradition for lovers to kiss after crossing a river. AE has since
learned that this is tradition only applies to us, but I get sweet kisses anytime
a river is crossed. Creeks, lakes, streams and brooks don't count, but if it's a
river kisses are dispensed.

This is a one lane bridge over the Colorado River
