I'm a journalist interested in AnastasiaDate
« on: October 20, 2021, 06:50:44 AM »
Hello all! I’m a documentary student in Maine. I’ve been poking around for something to report on, when I discovered— to my surprise— that one of the most notable international dating sites, AnastasiaDate, is based in Bangor, Maine.

I’m posting here because I’m hoping to talk to someone who has experience with this company. Please message me if:

1. You have used the company.
2. You are in a relationship through this company, or—
3. You are in an international marriage and live in the New England area.

Thank you,

DocumentingMaine

Dear DocumentingMaine,

I doubt you will find anyone within the narrow parameters you are seeking.  However, I will tell you that in Ukraine, sites such as anastasiadate are viewed as ones where pretty girls can fleece stupid old (in their eyes) men.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

Go on site jabber there’s 250 bad reviews written by men who were scammed by AnastasiaDate and 700 good (fake) reviews written by AnastasiaDate.

Long time members.... didn’t they try to take RWD to court ?

I'd also be happy just to talk to a couple in the New England area! AnastasiaDate is more of a starting point for my interest in this topic.

There is a joke, 98% of lawyers give the rest a bad name. The same can be said
of press coverage and stories about Western men marrying women from Eastern
Europe.

I know married couples from the New England area but I am not going to help you
contact them. You can troll around here if you wish but few people will trust you.

Your story has already been done countless times. What new angle can you possibly
think of? Tell me and I will show you three articles that have been done already.

I'm not certain I agree Bill.  For example, how a woman adapts to live in Maine may be very different from life in Miami or New York.  I assume they could also keep anonymity.

That the story has been done countless times.  That's really irrelevant.

I had experience with European Connections back in the 90's which was similar to Anastasia. I live in PA. I know some things about these agencies and how they work/don't work.  Don't know if that helps.
