That sounds like a stroke.

I hope you are on the mend.

That's what I feared at first the most as well, more will follow

Trippin through the airports
« Reply #1351 on: November 28, 2022, 05:17:10 AM »
My adoptive Russian family of 3 was adorable, good looking and had agreed to help me
navigate the labyrinth like path (slightly exaggerating the complexities) to get from the
train to SVO. My recently fried brain had still not yet reset to the bare minimum standards
necessary to keep my sh!p together. I was pounding water trying to flush the fog, haze and
grogginess out of my system.

I have long legs and normally my strides will carry me rapidly to any direction I point myself
in, nobody can match my pace, but normally was gone. My family had a 4 year old with his
very own suitcase with wheels. He was cuter than words can describe, able to weave through
significant traffic behind his Mamma. I however was struggling to keep up without f#cking up.

I dropped repeatedly and scattered on the floor every piece of paper or ticket or document that
I needed to keep together for me to get out of Dodge. Frequently Olya showing the patience of
Job would stop her son and wait for me to catch up.

She would point out when I had not picked up my passport after dropping it. I was operating
at several levels below minimally functional, but only a half level above playing in my own poop.
The seizure I had previously had created significant pain and stiffness in every joint that I can
identify. I dropped everything I touched. When stuff hit the ground I either stepped on it or kicked
it to someplace that was difficult to access.

Now I had to navigate myself from Moscow to Amsterdam to Istanbul to Austin Texas without
the Angel of mercy helping me along. I made on thousand F#ck ups along the way but I will
spare you the countless, boring mind numbing details. I eventually arrived back in Austin alive
but scattered. My son picked me up at the airport and my hot mess was headed home.

Time line for this post happening was approximately 9-22-2022
I had flown home, drank enough water to keep float my kidneys, showered
to remove the barnacles and hit the sack and slept like I was dead for a good
12 hours

I had previously scheduled a meet & greet with some top builders and architects
with an open bar, drinks and hors d'oeuvres for that and some local live music,
an evening by the pool of a nice hotel in Austin.

When I say that I scheduled this, I didn't. I should say my job was not to make sure
we had a venue or music or drinks. My job was to get the players to show up and
then to be 2tallbill convincing them to consider my company for goods and services
rather than who they were currently using. I am pretty good at the latter job, but
the organizing venues etc. is not something anyone competent would want my help
with. At home Angel Eyes is in charge of our social calendar. She is an organizational
force of nature. I'm better suited to ensure that we have enough propane for the grille
or enough ice for the beer.

We are a team, I don't tell her how to do her stuff, she doesn't tell me how to get more
or better customers. We each manage our own domains

Big Bill,  what were the USA physicians able to determine ex post regarding your medical/physical issues in your trip back to USA?

This is where we change my moniker from 2tallbill to 2stupid to consume air Bill.

Only the biggest jerk/idiot/man_who_plays_with his poop in modern history would blow off
this major life event like it was a jambed finger that needed some ice or rest, but that's
exactly what I did. I was not capable of going to the schmooze event with my still crispy
brain so, I made arrangements for management to know my goals and who to talk to.

I Googled stuff, that was the extent of my research on what happened to me.
Yes this ended up biting me in the @ss, yes I deserve any and all the ridicule
in the world. I am guilty and offer no defense for my inactions. I am F#cking stupid! I have
a young family who needs/relies on me. I let them down. Who will teach mini me to play
catch with a baseball? or a football or to make a layup, If I am not around?

I don't understand what this means . . . especially as it relates to your train episode.

It means little or nothing, it was a previous commitment that I was unable to keep so I
had others do it/deal with it.

Someone of my family just got half paralyzed by jumping in the plane, despite he knew that he had some trouble with his medical condition.
I am not a specialist, but look like you played the Russian roulette.
Hope that you have done all the necessary checks.

Angel Eyes and Mini Me was finally headed home! I had been home a month
and did NOT meet a single doctor or medical professional, which was mind
numbingly stupid (and deadly dangerous). The airlines (Delta/KLM) had not
yet found our bags and they didn't give a F#ck about it.

Angel Eyes had prepared gallons upon gallons of Borscht put it in containers
and froze it in our freezer before we left so that I would have access to healthy
food while she was gone. I had been eating better and had lost 10 KG (22lbs)
since my return.

Time line for this post happening was approximately 10-22-2022 approximately one
month since the Russian railroad incident.

rebooting my hard drive
« Reply #1364 on: December 01, 2022, 10:55:17 AM »
Time line for this post happening was approximately 11-22-2022
Angel Eyes and Mini Me were back. I had Ordered two Turducken's
in anticipation of the upcoming holidays.

I had my family back and I was nearly operating at full function
I was sleeping in bed next to Angel Eyes and it started again. I
was having another seizure. I wanted to wake my wife but I had
lost the ability to speak or even breathe.

My jaws clamped down and my teeth ground some nice holes in my
tongue and cheeks.

Angel Eyes woke up startled, jumped up administered three fast punches
to my face in hopes of rebooting my hard drive. When that didn't work,
she ran and got my 30 year old son who still lives with us. He is the only
one strong enough to lift or move me.

A quick call to 9-11 and the Calvary was on the way. After a perfunctory
inspection, I was loaded on a gurney and hauled away with lights and
sirens and curious neighbors looking on. I am too tall for a gurney and I
felt I was going to be in one of those YouTube Videos where the ambulance
doors open and I fly out the back, but that didn't happen the first responders
satisfied themselves with smaller goals like hitting every pothole in Texas
instead.

I was once T-boned in car wreck.  Found out later I had 9 ribs broken, some in two places.

Ambulance guys put me on gurney and insisted I lay my legs flat so they could put straps around legs and other places of my body.  But I couldn't because of extreme pain in my back if I did.

So they refused to put straps around parts of my body where they could, and refused to protect me as I almost fell off gurney several times on way to ER.  If you don't do things their way (even where you physically can't) . . . you can be SOL.

NOTE: I advise others not to share all the stuff I am sharing on a public forum. There are a number
of Crazies and wacko birds who have sick motivations and would get true joy from causing others
grief or hardship because you disagreed with them on disposing of fingernail filing debris.
I AM NOT joking. Don't do this !!

I arrive shaken not stirred to the hospital and although my voice sounds like a 97 year old man
with emphysema. They have determined that I know my name, address, todays date and my DOB
along with enough things for them to rule out stroke. Next I give my wedding ring to Angel Eyes and
I am headed into an MRI machine that looks like a birth canal. Nothing fits me 201cm/128kg, this has
been my world for my entire adult life. Whining about doesn't help but joking does a little bit.

I have found that maintaining your humor (even gallows humor) and a positive outlook tends to
vastly improve things around you.

I came out of the MRI feeling like a discarded sex toy from a leper woman's prison.

The MRI result was scary. If you took a major league baseball and chopped it in half it would be
the same size as the tumor growing inside my melon. They said that it's been slowly growing
for the last 10-20 years. The options were to cut it out or die. I selected the cutting it out option
from that list. They did give me the option of waiting another week, but putting this off seemed
to be counter productive.

They did go through a rather extensive list of things that could potentially go wrong. The list
included things like death and/or the brain function of stewed tomatoes.

I explained that I rarely used my brain anyway so lets steam ahead as if we knew what we
are doing.

I've often found good uses for my head. If stranding on a ladder I used it many times to hold
sheet rock in place while myself and others screw it off.

Damn Bill,

Since you are still posting, I will assume you came thru the surgery fairly well. Still, I am glad to hear you found out what was causing the problem. I wish you good health going forward and I hope everything turns out good.

Thanks for all the stories and generally good advice!

I believe the operation has already taken place, so it must have been successful.

I do hope your health issues are behind you, Bill.
