I dislike extra long and extra short. Other than that I vote for long, short and in-between, whatever length the woman chooses for herself.
So much depends upon the woman's body, face and hair. Two examples.
My wife was a tall runway fashion model for 13 years and for most of those years wore short hair. Why? She found it comfortable and easier. Even with long hair, she tended to pull it behind her ears. She was not pencil thin, and laughingly described herself as a "model with breasts."
Other factors: because of her Cossack roots, she has black hair, with a loose baby curl. Long jet black hair would be too strong with her delicately featured face, which has reminded many who know the old films of Audrey Hepburn.

Example No. 2. I spent much time with another RW who had a shorter, muscular body and a prominent nose. She had thick, naturally sandy hair, and always wore it shoulder length. One time I asked her why she did not wear short hair. She wet her hair and pulled it back, saying "See!"

She is still attractive with short hair but in my view she looks better with long hair.

Your selection of photos does make your point. You are a much better google and photo technician than me, so I will not even think about a challenge.
The best photo you posted of Audrey Hepburn is the middle photo with hair pulled behind her ears. I assert she would look just as ethereal if her hair were shorter. The third photo is a pixie cut, which I consider too short.
Audrey has a small face, and as Boethius expressed, long hair draped over her both ears would not look as good.
Charlize Theron is a large woman, and she needs the long hair. As did the strong-featured Tina Turner.
Do I assume in your single days you would be disappointed if Jennifer Lawrence showed up as your date but with short hair?

Everyone of the photos above show that the actress is still hot with short hair.
The question is which is better, it's my opinion that longer works better with
the same woman.

I think Halle Berry looks better with short hair and Audrey Hepburn with her hair up..as they have graceful necks..
It really is about what the lady wants and her partner can hope to influence )

One should consider not only the look of long hair, but the function as well. Sex with a Slavic woman is already encumbered by having to maneuver their long legs, and you want to place long hair in the way.

But the best looking hair length is neither long nor short, but medium.

I generally prefer longer, but women will do what they want. I can either accept it or move on.

From the pics above we can see that long hair wins it hands down.
Always amuses me when women go on about how long it takes them in the morning with makeup, etc or difficultly getting a guy. It's easy they just go for long hair, comb it through with a breif comb/brush in the morning, slap on a bit of lipstick and there done. That's all they need unless they wish to do more, even the less attractive girls will get interest with that particularly in a feminist western society where women often do the opposite and almost wear men's clothing.

I read Boethius' telling us how she prepared for the day and I was reminded of V..
I found myself spellbound watching her apply make-up..we were going out somewhere special in the evening.. and she asked...rather demanded me...to leave, as it 'irriated' her to be watched... ?!
I resolved to find a woman who understood that such observation from a partner's perspective was enjoying the metamorphosis !
SC 'gets' that and can even made applying make up provocative and part of the game of plesantly teasing..
She has long hair. Trench doesn't get that takes time to wash, dry and brush...
SC is amazing, as she can be ready to go out....lippy et al ..in minutes..
V spent ( I kid you not ) 3 hours in the bathroom every day.... forcing my Mum and her sister to use neighbours' toilets when they came out to Cyprus..just one bathroom..(
Lets be honest...
Hands up who hasn't inadvertently caused their loved one pain ...by lying on her hair as you both fall asleep and she goes to turn over.. or you moved closer and hear her wake up in agony....!((
The best thing about long hair is that she can make it appear shorter, put it up, use it to cover up and entice at the same time, a sun shade, a massage tool and it is fun to get that 'whip lash' shot as she flicks her head back in the sea...))
