Charm date
YNTTK:
I’ve been looking for love in a site called Charm Date and got to the stage where I think it’s all a scam.
I’ve spent over £2k following my dream of a lovely lady but just seems to be money after money reading letters and receiving photos etc.
What do you suggest I go to find a site that’s genuine?
I’m 57… pretty wealthy and looking for genuine love.B
🏴Thanks in advance from Bonnie Scotland🏴

You're in luck! You've found this forum and can be off and chasing Devushka's
around the FSU in short order.
You need to do a little bit of research/homework to familiarize yourself with
how to get started. I recommend reading a some threads

As you read, you will have questions so you can either use the search
function or you can come back here to this thread and ask it. When you
ask a question or for advice you will get lots of answers. Some of them
will be very useful and some of them will be more dubious in value and
irritating in the tone.
Whatever you do, don't get offended. Free advice is worth exactly what
you pay for it. Your job is to sift though the advice and use whatever
you think is helpful for you, your personality and your goals and ignore
the rest.
Udachi! (means good luck in Russian)

Davo:
Welcome,
Charmdate is another of the 20 or so PPL sites I joined as a non paying member and was pretty typical...... I received many messages from women way too young and attractive to be interested in a 40+ man, but as we all know as we gain experience, the messages are written by paid employees, even men in a lot of cases!!
A good place to start is fdating.... It’s free and in my experience if you’re realistic there are lots of genuine women to meet, just don’t expect to find stunning models like you find on PPL sites. If you message women who are age appropriate..... 45+, then you’ll have an enjoyable and “real” FSU online dating experience.
Briefly when using sites like I mentioned forget everything you’ve experienced on Charmdate. You’re the man so you have to make the first move..... Generally if a woman messaged you first she’s an email scammer ( they are easy to identify), or she has 3 or more children or she’s overly unattractive. Where email and PPL scammers are overly affectionate, real women are usually cautious until get to know and trust you. PPL “women” (letter writers) like you’ve met will keep you on the PPL site as long as they can as it’s how they earn their wage. Email scammers are the opposite and almost immediately want to chat via email and have every excuse under the sun not to call or video chat, as most use stolen profile pictures. Some don’t and will move you to what’s app and call once or twice to gain trust, but inevitably the request for money will come.
Real women usually take anywhere from a day to a week to trust you and if they like you will ask to chat on WhatsApp, Viber, Skype etc... , if you haven’t moved them off the site first. Until then she may not show much emotion and be sparing with intimate details about her and her life. Usually she’ll want to video chat immediately and then if she likes what she sees, she’ll share her life via pictures, videos and continuing weekly (or even daily) calls / video chat. Regular video chat and calling is your first most important scam check and for her it’s important too, to see you’re serious and really who you say you are.
To give you an idea of what to expect from a woman who genuinely likes you..... The women I’ve spent the most time with online, sent me over 1000, pictures of her and her life. We spent hundreds of hours video chatting and that included her live streaming her everyday life in her city and showing me the sights. We would often message each other 8-12 hours a day and very quickly it added upto over 100,000 individual messages before we met in real life.... I’m not saying you need to see this extent of contact, but you want to see similar behavior before getting on a plane, especially if you’re a write one visit one man (VOVO)
Apart from time, it cost me $0 during the online dating period and I met countless genuine women. Another option is dmnotify that has a basic monthly subscription fee. Watch out for email scammers and it’s set up so you can share contact details and leave the site for free too.
Good luck

:welcome:
If you've spent £2k just in letter writing then you've been scammed. As Davo has said Fdating.com is the place to go, they have all countries on there to date from though mostly it is FSU women. Fdate is a good place for a beginner as there is no bs as it's an entirely free site paid for by ads so no profit motive. Possibly the odd profile might pop up asking for you to send money or move onto a ppl (pay per letter) site as you've been on, if so ignore and message another girl. Most girls on there are genuine and do their own profile, not all will be interested but better to be in the real world than a fake scammers world.
Good luck!
