Am I right in thinking they get in then fabricate a case of the man doing violence so then immediately get residency/citizenship?

Fortunately I don't think we have anything like that in the UK. In the UK another good thing we have over the US is that citizenship is dependant on the nationality of the parents at birth not where the baby was born. So being born in the UK doesn't in itself confer citizenship though it's not to say that person couldn't gain it as I understand.

My guess is people traffickers could use Vawa to get women in and residency/citizenship and charge them money for the service.

Wrong on this as well, as usual.

Who can apply for leave to remain in the UK & under what provisions?

The domestic violence provisions of Appendix FM of the immigration rules allow applicants to apply for permission to stay as victims of domestic violence (even if their visa expired) if they have previously been granted leave to enter or remain as the spouse, civil partner or unmarried or same-sex partner
of a British citizen,
a settled person or
a member of HM Forces.

What is domestic violence and abuse?
According to Home Office guidance domestic violence and abuse goes beyond physical or sexual violence.
The general definition is: “Any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling coercive or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are or have been intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality”.
The violence can include, but is not limited to physical, psychological, sexual, financial, or emotional abuse. Also, the controlling behaviour does not need to come from the victim’s partner. It can also come from, for example, a member of the partner’s family against whom the partner offers no protection

DV is a real issue and it’s not just about physical violence. Mental abuse, controlling behaviour, denying access to funds etc, are all examples of DV.

I think you would fall into one of those categories quite easily.

I should have guessed this country would be party to such idiocy with its kissing up to immigrant mentality. I mean it's utter stupidity, if they are not residents it citizens of this country and they don't want to be near the guy who is causing them domestic violence then leaving this country back to whence they came would take them far away from the guy who is apparently causing them DV, common sense really. I don't see why they need to remain resident here as a result as it was always dependant on them being with the guy, if no longer wishing to be with the guy then no need to be here, their country is back over in Russia, Ukraine, etc, simple as.

Trench,

Sell your home, or if you rent, drop your lease.  Sell what you can and toss the rest.  Quit your job, pack a few clothes and personal effects in no more than two suitcases,  move to another country, stay for a few months and move back to the UK.  Many women who move to other countries give up everything they had to be with their partners.

If (and a big one at that) you ever find a woman that wants to live with you, are you willing to pay her expenses to go back home, arrange for living quarters, furnishings, and income until she can get a new job if things don't work out?  I think not, and doubt you could even afford such.

If I go to the store and put something in my shopping basket, then decide I don't need it put it back on the shelf in the same position and condition.  You, OTOH, want to go to the store, pick up an item, open it up, eat a bit, or even all, then tell the checkout clerk you don't want it anymore and are not even willing to pay for it. Better yet, just drop the item on the floor for someone else to clean up.

If you do ever find a woman, please make sure to point her to your posts here at RWD so she knows the sad situation she is getting into.
