It is round trip.  The discount is offered at ticket purchase.  Independently purchasing the extra luggage afterwards costs more - the 635UAH each way.

This will be my first time using Wizz air.   My fiance mentioned that Wizz/Ryan/UIA charge more for everything - getting boarding passes at check-in, any check-in luggage, asking any questions at check-in, not bringing your own seat belts and oxygen masks...

Steve, I have an interesting honest review about wizz air. Please read so you can be better informed of possible outcomes. Hope your future wifey doesn't mind your 'inexpensive' flight plans!!!

It is the old adage ... you get what you pay for!

That old adage is often not true.

Higher prices often do not provide higher service or higher quality of products.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

Nightwish,

Why do you think I 'won' - or Ryanair didn't contest ? ..

Your contention is nonsense - as was theirs - at the time...  THAT's the type of airline Ryanair's management run .. hence the Pilot's strike this year.

Their leaving 1000's of passengers in the lurch and - initially - refusing to pay compo or help - until many govts stepped in and MADE them pay...

Just enter "Ryanair refuse to pay compensation to stranded passengers" - I got 240,000 results ...

THE worst airline when something goes wrong

http://www.theguardian.com/money/2018/jan/22/ryanair-expenses-compensation-delayed-cancelled

According to Coby Benson, solicitor at the flight claims specialists Bott & Co, the Irish airline is the greatest offender when it comes to dodging legitimate expense claims. “These are not isolated incidents but company policy,” he says.

I notice you dodged the crucial question as to why you withhold important information just to stir up something.
Again, that was 8 years ago - and I don't give a freaking crap about what happened to you 8 years ago when we are talking about today. Things DO change. If you don't want to use them again, don't, but don't bitch about things that happened ages ago..

you can't beat the price for tickets..

I would not trust any of these budget airlines for planned vacation, but as I use them is like taking a bus, I don't need the best comfort and good service, I want to get there as cheaply as I can. That way I can spend my hard earned money on more important things in life.
And I would never get on any of these planes for a longer trip then 2-4 hours, its coach seats, no leg room and you don't want to have to broad shoulders.
Anyone over 175cm/5"10 will suffer..

You get what you pay for.. in this case almost, "bring your own gas if you want to get there"

People who plan their whole vacation and holidays based on these companies deserve what they get in a way. And those are the ones who complain about them all the time.
If I got stranded by Ryan or Wizz or anyone else, I would simply get another ticket with another airline and go home, then bitch about it until I get compensation, until that happens - I am satisfied with the travels I made with them so far, and once they start these flight to Kyiv, I will use them frequently.
Multitasking means screwing up several things at once.

No - you told me not to respond  and what you say next is not even correct

Again, that was 8 years ago

It was October 2013  - SIX years ago - a flight booked from Glasgow to Barcelona

- and I don't give a freaking crap about what happened to you 8 years ago when we are talking about today. Things DO change. If you don't want to use them again, don't, but don't bitch about things that happened ages ago..

So, the strike link and fallout from THIS year isn't 'relevant' ? ;)

you can't beat the price for tickets..

Actually  - you can - if you are travelling with luggage and seek a departure / destination airport that is often closer to the city - and the feeling that you are a valued customer

Quoting Michael O'Leary  Chief Exec of Ryanair:

"One of the weaknesses of the company now is it is a bit cheap and cheerful and overly nasty, and that reflects my personality."

Me?  I'll try and find a heavily govt subsidised Turkish Airways flight with 30Kgs baggage allowance,  meal and free drinks

Future wifey is the one who booked and purchased the tickets.  She flew with them in April to visit Barcelona.  She typically books the transits (planes, trains, no busses) and I book the accommodations.

She knows all the fees.  On our recent trip, to Greece, she checked-in and got the boarding pass online before we headed for the airport.  I didn't have to - I flew American Airlines from/to Boston.  But she had to for her return flight to Kyiv.

And she's a master at packing light.  I'm still learning.

Yes, I read that somewhere about future wifely buying tickets for flight. Better for you, if things don't go smoothly you can just stare at her!! ))

BTW- Always check trip advisor for any city you are visiting. Forums in any city/country.  Locals from there can answer if area/apt/hotel is ok or is bad area or even mention good areas. Sounds like area is booked airbnb may be shady!! )))
