Live Internet Video Feeds - WebCams

Everyone is invited to contribute a link to a live video feed to locations throughout the FSU.

This one is in Kyiv, Ukraine and is taken at one end of Kreschatik from a vantage that overlooks Kreshatik from Maidan Nazalezhnosti (Independence Square) - where all the tents were set-up during the Orange Revolution. Sponsor of the feed is the TV Station 1 + 1.

Here is a website from UkrTelekom dedicated to a host of different webcams around Ukraine - but most (maybe all?) are not live. Nonetheless, give them a try:

Dan ~ I would suggest that anyone who wishes to contribute to the database do so with webcams they have used and would recommend since the quality and access varies tremendously.  One can Goggle up this and other lists: http://www.livecam.ru/
but about half of the cams are inactive or too slow.

My favorite is this group of live cams from St. Petersburg:
http://www.ipnet.ru/english/city/
but even these 'come and go' during the year.

Good suggestion. I have visited the 1+1 cam for several years now, and I know it is the most reliable one I have come across. The others I posted are of questionable reliability.

Prefer that anyone posting a link ALSO post their experiences as to reliability and longevity (if known) of the link.

Seems since this technology is pretty cheap, these links come and go VERY quickly.

This is a collection of video cams throughout Russia, we've been  viewing several for about a year to get an idea what the weather is  like around the country.  Loading can sometimes be spoty but the  views (once loaded) are good.

i just clicked on the 1+1 cam..i am just a few blocks away...it is 12:50 17 december..the image is of the square at night and posts a time of 20:00 16 december
