I do not live in the past. However, the past informs who we are.

Please point to the means of production owned by the Canadian government.

After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

I didn't ask for a definition.  I asked you to tell me how Canada is socialist.

You evidently know nothing about either Canada, or socialism.

If you do not know, then there is little hope of educating you.

I would be a worthless attempt to contradict your preconceived beliefs with facts and evidence.

It appears that you want little more than to have the last word about everything no matter how trivial, your comment, belief or opinion must be the last expressed.

Sad, very sad way to live.

I didn't post that I don't know what socialism is.  I posted I rejected your assertion.  You know virtually nothing of Canada, and you can't back up your statement with actual facts, because you basically pulled that statement out of your rear end.  Reading Ezra Levant hardly makes you an expert on Canada, and no, it is not a socialist state.  If you want to demonstrate otherwise, be my guest.  However, you will back away and "give me the last word" because you absolutely cannot follow up your ridiculous statement with an actual fact.

As I posted, you don't even know what the definition of socialism is, and are attempting to apply it to a country you know nothing about.

It appears I want posters to back up cr@p they post with actual facts rather than spew garbage and have it accepted.  I know you will give me the "last word" because you can't back up your silly post with an actual fact.

I think it is sadder to lie about who you are than to have the last word on an innocuous forum.

Canada is not a Socialist state....

Their has never been a Socialist State...

But many countries around the world use Socialist economic policies inside their various forms of Capitalist market economies...

If the USSR was a EVIL state,,,,  Than that makes the USA an EVIL state...

Rights and privileges inside the USA, if you are an american citizen is substantial..

But if you live/lived in one of the many countries where the USA installed or supported puppet dictatorships..
You would disagree...

Let's remember the US government is responsible for many terrorist attacks around the world..
They have also supported religious fundamentalists like osama bin laden..
Blood thirsty dictators like Pal pot and Pinochet...

The USA also used economic warfare to enforce the will of American corporations..
For example child labor from around the world...

I honestly believe the USA has become en EVIL imperialist empire....
The crimes of which are equal to or greater than any other country in the world...

The crimes of the colonial empires of the 15th - 20th century..  British, Portuguese, Spanish and Belgians...  are obviously horrendous.

We need a government of action to fight for working families!

Tigerpaws, I would not waste your time arguing with Boethius. Through reading many of your posts as well as many of Boethius's posts, it is apparent to me that your IQ level far exceed hers. When you two engage in a spirited, robust debate, Boethius always comes out on the losing end as she simply cannot compete with your knowledge, lack of bias, education and even-handedness. My guess is you are 3 Standard Deviations above the mean, TP on the normal bell-shaped curve with regards to your intelligence level.

And of course, it is not possible that any of my comments could be tongue-in-cheek, laced with a heavy dose of sarcasm. And it is not possible that in my opinion, Putin or some Russian Government Official is paying you good money to come to RWD and troll this board with incredibly ignorant bullshit Russian propaganda. No, not a chance for any of that TP.  :(

Dunno if you are ware of this TP, but you are incredibly annoying. Your crap gets very old.

Wanted in Russia: EU court blocked suspected Istanbul attack mastermind from extradition in 2010 A Chechen national suspected of being the mastermind behind the deadly Istanbul airport terrorist attack, earlier received refugee status in Austria, which helped him to repeatedly avoid extradition to Russia on terror charges. The fatal attack on the Istanbul airport that took lives of 44 people and left more than 230 injured was allegedly organized by Ahmed Chataev, a Russian citizen of Chechen origin, who joined Islamic State (IS, former ISIS/ISIL) in 2015 and now fights in Syria, Turkish media report, citing police sources.

Russia Offers India Nuclear Aircraft Carrier

NEW DELHI — Russia has offered its nuclear aircraft carrier, dubbed "Storm," to India for purchase, a senior Indian Navy official said. The offer comes as India and the US discuss the transfer of technology for India's future nuclear aircraft carrier, the INS Vishal.

A diplomat with the Russian Embassy confirmed that a Russian team visiting India last week made the offer.

Long Jumper and sexy Russian athlete is being punished on social media and other
outlets endorsed by the Kremlin for not boycotting the Olympics when a large percentage
of their athletes were caught cheating.

Russia responded to the cheating charge as Russian haters, but in my opinion they have
a point that some of their athletes are surely innocent. Read the second article about
Yelena Isinbayeva who has never been accused of cheating in her long and amazing
career.

RUSSIA’S SOLE ATHLETE AT OLYMPICS BRANDED A 'TRAITOR'

Russia’s only athlete allowed to participate in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics has been branded a traitor on social media and told to compete for Ukraine instead.

The country’s track and field athletes were banned from competing in the upcoming Olympics in Brazil over allegations of mass doping. Long jumper Darya Klishina was granted permission by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) to compete, as they announced she met “exceptional eligibility criteria” over the weekend.

Her post of gratitude to the IAAF and supporters on social media was met by a wave of criticism in Russia, where many felt she showed little solidarity for other Russian athletes who would not compete.

Mikey,

the ban does not apply to non-domestic based Russian athletes who have tested clean ...

no 'probably' about it ...

I have explained this on your 'bad news for russia' thread..

Isinbayeva has a point.. she has never tested for banned substances..

Please excuse the Curmudgeon in my posts ..he will be cured by being reunited with his loved one ;)

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) are a bunch of corrupt idiots and
you can count on them to do the wrong thing. One of the Russian athletes was
a whistle blower who brought it to the IOC's attention of the massive doping
that was taking place.

So Naturally the IOC has rejected her application to participate in the Olympic
games, because they are corrupt morons.

IOC decides against complete ban on Russians from Rio Olympics

Paul Craig Roberts Warns:
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-07-24/paul-craig-roberts-warns-armageddon-approaches-after-german-leak

[/font][/b]The Western public doesn’t know it, but Washington and its European vassals are convincing Russia that they are preparing to attack. Eric Zuesse reports on a German newspaper leak of a Bundeswehr decision to declare Russia to be an enemy nation of Germany.

<blockquote>According to a report issued on June 6th in German Economic News (Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten, or DWN), the German government is preparing to go to war against Russia, and has in draft-form a Bundeswehr report declaring Russia to be an enemy nation. DWN says: “The Russian secret services have apparently thoroughly studied the paper.
In advance of the paper’s publication, a harsh note of protest has been sent to Berlin: The head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian State Duma, Alexei Puschkow, has posted the Twitter message: ‘The decision of the German government declaring Russia to be an enemy shows Merkel’s subservience to the Obama administration.’”

Washington might intend the military buildup as pressure on President Putin to reduce Russian opposition to Washington’s unilateralism. However, it reminds some outspoken Russians such as Vladimir Zhirinovsky of Hitler’s troops on Russia’s border in 1941.
