You are probably right as I remember Stallone also being reported just 170cm, and movie directors having a huge issue in making him look longer.
Sleepycat or LT would probably argue that the 170cm of Putin is on high heels. ;D

Now directors just want to make Stallone look younger.  They could care less how tall he is.

AC,

For the record, I met Arnold Schwarzenegger.   Have met him on more than one occasion.  I am 6'1".  He is taller than I am by a whisker.  He was not wearing elevated shoes, as he was in flip flops, one of the times I was with him.

I was only going by what somebody told me who has also met him.  I am also going by the fact that the height of most celebrities is embellished.  What year did you meet him?  Perhaps he has shrunk in his old age.

A couple of times when he was Governor.  More recently at a horse show.

I am impressed.

I stood fairly close to LBJ (6'4") and RFK (5'9"), and I shook hands with Kurt Waldheim (taller than LBJ maybe), yet I felt of the three RFK had the most powerful prescence.

I don't know what that means.  I am an American.  I am 5'10

Politicians and actors don't impress me at all.  They put their pants on the same as anyone else and everything they eat turns to &*^% the same as anyone else.

If I had my choice most politicians and actors would be fish food.  Throw in most Lawyers with them as well and the World would be a better place.

That's the 2nd time you've used the same cartoon albeit for a different topic.  Don't you have any more originality than that?

As far as actors go I've met more than you can imagine.  Politicians?  Met a few -- not impressed.  They are mostly Lawyers with a license to steal.

Any more foolish statements or questions or would you like to quit while you're behind?

No, I don't.  I am simply far more pragmatic and less absolute then you are.  I believe in playing the game for the long term, not for short term.  Obviously I hope for an even bigger change in 2016.  Time will tell.  For now it's important that Republicans in Congress don't get painted as "extremists" by our Marxist President and his lap-dog media.

Do you have any clue? Obviously not based on your comments.

Here, elucidate yourself.

I never quite understood that fable.  Obviously the fox is disdainful of the grapes.  But is there some subplot that I'm unaware of?  Like maybe that grapes are poison for canines?

I don't need a link from a silly guy like you -- I am more than familiar with the concept of low-hanging fruit versus the stuff on the top and the fox who wishes he could get the grapes.  You go ahead and think that you're important and whatever else makes you happy.

Here's the kind of crafty fox that I am.  You go ahead and keep dreaming about all of the grapes you missed in life.  Obviously by now they're sour.   :o

How about actresses?  When you take your first trip to the FSU, be ready.

And I would wish you and whoever (?) luck as well, if I knew who that was.  In the meantime we need a government that will do their best to work with or around the guy in office.  I will be happy if they get the Keystone pipeline approved by slipping it into one of Obama's desired Bills.  Not sure if they have enough votes to bypass his promised veto.  He apparently thinks that windmills and solar is ready to replace traditional energy methods and their not.

Apropos of short actors, this was probably an extreme case (5'5") ;):

Quote
Ladd and Lake became a particularly popular pairing because, at 5'1", she was one of the few Hollywood actresses shorter than he. In his memoirs, actor/producer John Houseman wrote of Ladd: "Since he himself was extremely short, he had only one standard by which he judged his fellow players: their height".
To compensate for Ladd's height, during the filming of Boy on a Dolphin, co-starring the much taller Sophia Loren, the cinematographer used special low stands to light Ladd and the crew built a ramp system of heavy planks to enable the two actors to stand at equal eye level. In outdoor scenes, trenches were dug for Loren to stand in.
For the film Saskatchewan, director Raoul Walsh had a six-inch hole dug for co-star Hugh O'Brian to stand in, while using the excavated dirt to build a mound for Ladd to stand on, thereby overcoming the one-foot disparity in height.

We have their promises against their record.  At this point, if the GOP doesn't get Tea Bagged, its probably time for me to go.

See? That's what happens when people eschew education because they might turn into elitists.

Keep listening to talk radio bombasts, great education. NOT!!

Silly old guy.  A classical education includes reading the Classics.  You might start by reading Plato and Aristotle.  Everyone has heard of "sour grapes", and it's you who keeps expressing them.  Why do you think I told you that it was not original to post the same cartoon?

However since you keep beating a dead horse, I suggest you familiarize yourself with the fable of the scorpion and the frog.  You being the scorpion, you just can't help yourself, now can you?

Still bitter that your party lost by a landslide?  Sure, tell us you're not bitter.  Then repeat another implied racial slur about Obama for the 1,000th time.
