Love Albinoni, but I'm posting this for the animation, by Russian animator Garri Bardin.  Bardin said in an interview it is about "the grey masses who don't know history, don't want to know history, and repeat the same mistakes".
From the description of the clip -
Quote
"Adagio" which is a philosophical parable exploring the conflict between a
hero and the crowd is loosely based on a romantic short story written by the
famous Russian writer Maxim Gorky about a young man named Danko and his burning
heart. In the story, Danko belonged to a tribe of strong men that were forced by
their enemies to retreat into the depths of an old dark forest filled with
swamps. Danko, young and brave, believed that there was a way out of dark and
hostile forest, and he bravely led the people deeper inside. But soon they
started to grumble. Fueled by fear and darkness, frustration and anger grew
among them. Danko looked at the people and saw only hatred in their faces, and
the flame of desire to save them flared up in his heart.

"This flame of
love for his people became stronger and stronger, and suddenly, overpowering the
sound of thunder, Danko exclaimed: 'What shall I do for my people?' And he tore
apart his chest and tore out his heart and raised it high over his head. It
blazed like the sun, even brighter than the sun, and the forest, stunned by this
overwhelming love for the people, became quiet. Danko ran forward, holding high
his burning heart, lighting the road for the people, and they rushed after him.
Suddenly, the forest ended, and they emerged into an ocean of sunshine and fresh
air, cleansed by the rain. Danko looked at the free land, laughed proudly and
fell dead. And the happy people, filled with great hopes and expectations, did
not even notice Danko's death and did not see that next to his body his brave
heart still burned brightly. Only one person noticed it and fearing something,
stomped on the proud heart and extinguished its flame... "

Boe, that clip evoked a long-lost memory of the opening sequence of the longest attempt to popularise classical music through animation, made in 1940:

I had forgotten this sequence. Bach's famous Toccata is a piece written for organ, here in an orchestral version. From 4:40 onwards, the sequence becomes abstract.

I watched the movie as a kid after WWII and was mesmerised by it, which probably planted the seed of my subsequent attraction to classical music.

Considering that computer graphics/animation were not available then, it was an incredible production effort by Disney, all hand-made :o.

There are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them.

I do resent the fact that most people never question or think for themselves. I don't want to be normal. I just want to find some other people that are odd in the same ways that I am. OP.

I am sure you can buy it on ebay. It's a Soviet animation Nutcracker. If you will have still need it remind me after Tuesday and I'll search for you.

The Girl from Ipanema is 50 y.o.

In 1962 Antônio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes wrote the music and lyrics of one of the first bossa nova songs, first recorded by Pery Ribeiro:

The brunette in question was Heloísa Eneida Menezes Paes Pinto (now Helô Pinheiro), still attractive at 60+ though no longer brunette ;):

Canada's talented son Jesse Cook strumming flamenco's African roots in Qadukka-I-Massaya. There doesn't seem to be a clean video track of this song. Too bad. Perfect Paso Doble music.

African roots? In the sense of North African, i.e. Arabic roots, you mean ;)?

Quote
Qadduk-al-Mayyas (قدّك الميّاس, translation from Arabic)
Chorus
Your swaying figure, my life
Moves with ease, like a small branch of ben tree
In my eyes you are the most beautiful among humans
Glory to he who created you, my moon.

Verse 1
Your body which is leaning in this way
Your glance is like a sorcerer's,  it's deadly
Will we come together? No no no no no
I'll turn away from the desire and wait.

Verse 2
Your eyes are black - how beautiful they are
My heart is on fire with their love
I've been waiting two years for your eyes
I have driven people crazy with my obsession.

Verse 3
My beloved and I are in a paradise
Flowers are draped over us like tents
He asked me reunion.
May God protect us

Quote

This looks better:

A thouroughly captivating song anyway, that makes listeners want to move and dance :D.

I knew you will not disappoint Sandro. Thanks mightily for the lyrical translation, too.

This particular number do have a lot of Arabic influences however.

Frankly, I will bow to your knowledge on this but back when I was taking guitar flamenco lessons, our teacher first explained the roots of the music as coming from, or been inspired by, African tribal drumbeats and that it wasn't until the music transitioned all the way up to what we enjoy listening to it today with Spanish flavor. You can almost hear this on his track called 'Tempest, less those quick string transitions...

I saw Jesse Cook live in Temecula winery about 7 years ago during a sunset dinner concert he played in after cutting his second album, IIRC. He hasn't been back to California since unfortunately. I like him so much better unplugged without all the electrical accompaniments.

Finally! Someone uploaded these guys' video, The Smith Brothers. 3 lads from Ireland. Richard Smith is a Chet Atkins' prodigy, country fingerstyle / bluegrass virtuoso who for some reason never seem to want to get big and seem content just playing in small venues. Awesome guy. He stopped by at my guitar school at Sta. Monica's McCabe's and Boulevard Music in Culver City a few years back and played this song, All Of Me, with his 2 brothers. This video sounds like it was a beat and a half too fast though...

Arabic influences may turn up where you least expect them, e.g. in surf rock ;):

Dick Dale (born Richard Anthony Monsour, of Lebanese descent) is playing Misirlou (score at http://abcnotation.com/tunePage?a=trillian.mit.edu/~jc/music/abc/mirror/blackrosetheband.googlepages.com/ABCTUNES.ABC/0170#):

Quote
a popular Greek song played in five styles of music: Greek rebetiko, Middle-Eastern belly dancing, Jewish klezmer, American surf rock, and international orchestral easy listening (exotica). It was first performed by the Michalis Patrinos rebetiko band in Athens in 1927.

It was also revisited in :D:

I didn't know Dick Dale is/was Lebanese. Cool..

But I got a kick out of the sounds they got out of that Gibson (is it Les Paul?) playing it the way they did. Leave it to QuentinT for adding a silly bit at the end of the song...

Here's another Flamenco/Arabic/Afrikaneer sounding tune from Tarantino's mind...

Yes, the Santa Esmeralda recorded a number of oft flamenco-sounding dance songs in the late 1970s-early 1980s:
