I voted "older left," yet believe the answer is "mother-daughter" because otherwise you would not have posted this. 

To make it more interesting, change the choices to just three:  mother-left, mother-right, neither because you are bull shitting me.

It is always irritating to me . . . answers such as this.

The answer is supposed to be based on visual inspection of the gals; not on psychology babble.

Some years ago, I was at breakfast with an older male friend.
He was honestly wanting to know what age he looked.
I gave him my opinion; and then suggested he ask several more people in the restaurant.

Example of irritating answer:  I am guessing 65 plus because you are here in mid morning rather than working, so you must be retired.

Daughter is on the right side wearing shorts. Probably 16. Looks like they're either either Cambodian/Laotian.

Laos.  I have been there, but evidently not long enough to discern diferences.  Definitely not north of there, nor far south or west either.

When GQ and I were talking Laos/Cambodia, we were talking bloodline, not locale.  No place in Laos or Cambodia resembles the barren hills in the photo, except in the Agent Orange era.  No lotus plants on the lake, or water buffalo.   :

Father was probably a little bit on the chunky side.

That will adversely affect the younger gal's shape, compared to her mother's, as time goes on.

One of the Ukrainian gals here in town is above average height and extremely slender in her mid 30s after two children.

I thought this was natural and due to her genes.

However, met her parents, both whom are below average height and are chunky.
She does look like her mother in the face, so don't think an adoption was likely.
