Lily Raises Funds to Ride 200 km to Conquer Cancer to Niagara Falls!

Hello Friends,


As a new cyclist, this year I have decided to bite the bullet, and to sign up for the Ride to Conquer Cancer in June 2023.


This is a known bicycle ride but it is new to me.


However, I feel I am much more challenged with raising the necessary minimum CAD$2500 rather than cycling for over 200 km.


Please support my ride. Your donation will support a breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre that is organizing the ride for years. It will move us closer to actually conquering cancer, so that our loved ones are not taken by this killer.

Since I raised over $4k, I did get the Hammer vest! Will be riding for 149km tomorrow, and for another 125km on Sunday.


I have been training diligently, with my longest training ride being 139km. Should be fine.

The Ride was awesome! 150 km in Day 1, 125 km in Day 2. I was happily tired!
So grateful for your donations!


The Ride had about 3500 riders in total. Of them, 120 went the Hammer route that was the most challenging, 275 km in two days. The regular route was about 230 km for two days.


Of those 120 Hammer riders, only 13 were women.


The Ride has raised about $17.5 mln for cancer research. The team where I was a member, has raised about $1mln - number one team of the Ride!
