A bit more information has come out:

• The shooting broke out at a McDonald's across from the Olympia shopping mall about 5:50 p.m. (11:50 a.m. ET), police spokeswoman Claudia Küntzel said. Gunfire also broke out inside the mall, which is adjacent to the site of the 1972 Olympics, witnesses said.

• On Facebook, police said gunfire was reported in several locations, and that witnesses report seeing three people with firearms.

Sonboly fled to the roof of a parking garage, where he was shot at by plainclothes officers and got into a shouting match with a person filming him. “I’m German!” the shooter at one point appears to call out as the bystander harangues him, using an ethnic slur.

Witnesses testified they heard the gunman yell "Allahu Akbar". One woman said she is Muslim and clearly understood what he said. It makes sense. When he's killing people, he can say "Allahu Akbar" but when he's about to get killed by Germans, to get empathy he yells "I'm German!"

   Huseyin Dayicik has been hailed a hero after he was killed outside a restaurant at the Olympia Shopping Centre where Ali Sonboly opened fire and murdered nine people, reports Mail Online.
Instead of fleeing for his life, the Greek teenager stayed and pushed his twin sister out of harm’s way.
