Does anyone know how long after receiving the Packet 3 the scheduled interview is? I've heard about 6 weeks but someone recently told me about 3 - 4. Can anyone verify this for Ukraine?

You've inspired me to do some research - and will post about it later.

It used to be you could get onto the Warsaw Embassy website (back when Warsaw processed visa applications from Ukraine), and you could find the current backlog to indicate the time from Packet 3 to interview - at least, in general. Back then there were a very few alternatives to expedite the interview, but only if the sponsor were in-country and taking an active role in moving the interview date earlier.

Anyway, I will do some digging and see if I can find out anything more current.

Frank,

The previous schedule that was available in Warsaw is not available any longer. Kyiv Embassy does not publish any duration, however, the Warsaw Embassy states; "On average, the first available appointment is about six to eight weeks from the time when the Embassy receives the petition."

If it helps, you can always contact the Embassy and ask them to expedite the interview. In the past, they would do this for you if you were planning to be in-country and attending the interview. Warsaw was always very accommodating - and my direct experience with Kyiv is they are equally so.

I wish I could be more definitive, but this is all that I could find.

Well, I got my answer. Our interview has been scheduled for Monday March 28th. Kiev was REALLY prompt in their response. I sent the request on a Sunday evening & by Monday I had my response. Almost there!
