RyanAir to begin flights London to Kyiv and Lviv
« on: March 29, 2017, 09:59:14 AM »
In October 2017, RyanAir will begin flying London-Stansted to both Kyiv and Lviv.  Super cheap fares.  Like $40-50 each way.

Something to keep in mind when booking flights.

Don't know for sure, but maybe not many flights into Stansted from USA.  This would then entail a land trip from Heathrow to Stansted, I presume.

The LAST airline in the world I will fly with

Watch out for their hidden charges / small print and they will charge you the price of a ticket if you haven't printed off your boarding pass more than 4(?) hours before departure ...

I'm making it my personal crusade to make their 'leader' Mr O'Leary understand that his company sucks !

Fly ANYONE but this airline

I'd personally fly out of Gatwick and fly Ukrainian International.  Typically the flights are around $175, round trip.  Worth the price and time of taking the bus from Heathrow to get such fares.

Thanks for the heads up ML, any info in our neck of the woods is helpful but I'm with Moby on this one. I've never flown with them but know people who have and same issues about charging you on top for this that and the other so the ticket price isn't the actual price once all added extras & taxes are put on. Also heard of poor quality service once onboard. I know of Stanstead but never been there, one of the smaller airports quite to the North of London. So for me living in the South of England, south of London it wouldn't be worth the extra journey time and mileage costs. In any case I prefer Ukraine International Airlines, hot air hostesses from London Gatwick ;D. For the US traveller a transfer from Heathrow or wherever is likely to be a pain as Stanstead isn't as near to London as Heathrow or Gatwick.

The fact they try and do you over as Moby suggests is just appalling, just so disrespectful and not a company I would like to do dealing with.

Jone is about right on the price with UIA, I got about this and I agree with him is a far better option to go with.

I would agree with the comments about Ryanair's price gouging and crap service, and yet my brother, who lives near Dublin, swears by them and won't use any other airline if he has a choice.

I suppose it all comes down to what you're used to - he flies them so often that he knows all the wrinkles and pitfalls to avoid.

Dublin is a hub and with no hand luggage  and a VERY short haul flight ..they become a bus with no frills ..they are NOT an airline I'd want to use as part of a multi-leg journey..Miss the flight and ....

RyanAir you should treat for what it is and be prepeared that they have low standard.. yes it can be a hassle, but concidering they sell tickets from Sweden to Italy, Spain, well almost all of Europe for as little as $8-10 sometimes - one way -  I can take that small inconvinience..
Wouldnt for the life of me use them on a longer multileg journey or if I really needed to trust to be there on time without hassle, but treat them as the "bus" they are and all is well.

Multitasking means screwing up several things at once.
