Young Girl
In the Bandstand video...we see the high energy dancers on the top of the stairs... 2:16 Dick Clark gets a call to tell the main floor kids to start dancing.
In the live video we see the same grown kids that were in the AB video and also---Gary Puckett is waaaay too old for young girls is he not?

Great song, but not a dance tune.
I think they outsold the Beatles in the year '68.
Here's a couple more oldie guy oldies:

Young Girl
However...Gary Puckett could not get that young girl out of his mind and he married her. But because he was too old for her-- this happened.....

Let this be a lesson.

My favourite song from London Calling.

After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

Re: Musicians I love - In Remembrance

December 8, 1980. One of my all time favorite songwriter, remembering one of my favorite song he wrote.

To commemorate The Beatles, there's a newly released documentary on Disney Channel titled 'Get Back'. It catalogue the 3 week session of creating their last recorded album 'Let It Be'. It's an 8-hour long, 3-part series that ultimately led to their rooftop concert/recording.

So many very interesting segment in that documentary where you saw the genesis of the classic songs in that album. One after 909, Long and Winding Road, Let it Be, Dig a Pony, etc...and one that didn't - 'Don't Let Me Down'.  The video below shows you the creation of the signature single in the album and movie - Get Back.

John was late for the session as Paul walked in. He obviously had a 'tune' already nestling in his mind as he greeted both Ringo & George, both looking bored and dejected. Paul picks up his bass guitar and started strumming it to capture the melody as Ringo looked resigned and George yawned to the beat. What's interesting is, he wasn't playing the bass (note), but instead was strumming it like a guitar (chords). Get Back was written via a 4-string bass guitar.

John ultimately arrived in the middle of the session, picked his guitar, and *Get Back* started coming to life as we now know it.

The documentary also showed the turmoil within the band. Paul was such an artistic force that he was too domineering in what and how he wanted The Beatles music to be. This pained George Harrison, and ultimately caused him to quit the band midway through their recording session. It followed how the trip convinced him to come back.

There was this very fragile / delicate moment when John asked Paul for a private conversation between the two of them to try and figure out what ailed George and what they need to do. In the conversation, John basically laid it out to Paul to stop being so domineering and allow George the artistic freedom within, and for, the band to come out. Paul agreed.

How we know this now? A microphone was actually installed in a flower vase unbeknownst to the two when they locked themselves in the room to talk.

Shot up to #1 on itunes in less than a day. Kid Rock release 3 new singles, and 'We The People' is his political piece. Lashing out at the frustration from all the abuses people are feeling these days.

Rockin' and Last Dance are the other 2.

I think this was released when I was in middle school.  In any event, I bought the album, and was always a Meatloaf fan.

All of Meatloaf's best work (other than his appearance in the Rocky Horror Picture Show) was in performing Jim Steinman's songs.  I always assumed Jim Steinman had some bad relationships, as his lyrics mostly end with an edge/disappointment/tragedy regarding love.  But, that's often the case with gay men, I have observed.  He never came out, but IMHO, there is no way a straight man could have written those songs.

[color=var(--ytd-video-primary-info-renderer-title-color,var(--yt-spec-text-primary))]

WDSF Stuttgart 2022 Latin dance competition ended Saturday.
Normally, half of finalists would be Russian, but no Russian couples were competing.
Russian ladies Novikova and Figurenko were competing with their partners from Canada and Estonia.
Winner Khrystyna Moshenska, formerly from Odessa UA, and partner danced a victory dance for
Ukraine to Michael Jackson's "Heal the World".

But there are several full length concert videos of
