The wait is over . Our application was approved on the 4th of this month .
Visa was lodged on the 1st of November 2013 and approved on the 4th of July 2014  . -- yes a few tears of joy came out .. You can not understand the relief , unless you too have been through it .

yep , the joy /relief when you finaly hear that news is almost overwhelming , agree totally  ;)

supraman , your work is now really begining in earnest mate, lol

enjoy it , love em both to death and support them in all aspects , i know you will anyway , but it is a good reminder of how much your day to day call your about to be put under , lol

i reckon many guys underestimate how much of a load they will need to bear for their new family over the first few years, , me included , this aspect is where the trust/commitment is really built up in the relationship

best wishes to you all supra,
hope all goes well with their move etc

I wish you all the best mate

My girl and I have almost got all our paperwork together to apply for our 300 so fingers crossed.
I am a little worried with the shooting down of the plane in the last few days but all we can do is submit and see.

In relation to police doc - my over 08 drink driving showed up after 26 years. Any comments welcome, will try up date progress too.

That's [eight] DWIs?
Oh my dude :TMI:

The documentation there looks like outrageous hoop jumping.
Anyway...is it really the nanny state down under?

Whatever happened to our “lucky country”? When exactly did the lawyers take over? These days Australia seems to have regulations to stop everything that involves risk and personal responsibility.Ever wanted to play a videogame that the censors have rated ‘R’? Well you can’t because they’ve been banned.  Don’t even think about riding your bike without a helmet because you’re sure to get fined. And forget about shouting a round of shots at the pub, because it’s after midnight and that’s illegal too.

The states are headed there too. Is it true though... All Aussies are required to vote?

Definitely federal and state elections are compulsory voting. Vote or you'll receive a letter from the government asking for a small fine. Not sure if council elections are compulsory voting. Although I've never bothered to vote in my adult life, every time I receive that letter asking why I didn't vote I just reply I didn't vote due to religious reasons (I'm lying) and I never hear back from them again.

tfcrew: 08 probably means a recorded a reading of .08% blood alcohol DUI (Driving Under the Influence of alcohol) once - the legal limit is .05% for open licence holders driving a sedan - for most other categories (provisional licence holders, taxi drivers, heavy transport operators etc) the legal limit is 0.00%.

Nanny state? Lol, probably looks like it from the outside and to be frank, much of what we put up with is BS but it's not quite as bad as it looks from the outside - we are still allowed to engage in heterosexual sex ......for the moment. In due course I expect we will need to obtain a permit from someone bent double, praying at 4 pm Friday wearing a table cloth for a hat

OK ..Here in Texas, a second conviction for drunk driving [over .08%] can land someone in prison.
A 3rd absolutely will.
.05%? I would get that just by walking past a bar.
Zero tolerance for professionals here too.
Drunk bus drivers will be crucified.

Hi Supraman

Just looking at your posts. We applied for PMV300 in Mid June 2014. Just been advised to book medical late last week. I see on your timelines that was a while for you. Did your lady have to have an interview? I have heard that the times are now extended for visa grants. We used a good lawyer/immi agent and had all our paperwork lodged at the time except for medicals. So we are now booking those. I am hoping that means our application so far has been pretty solid. Just wanted to ask you as you have obviously just been through this process. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Regards
Buzz
