FSU Culture visiting USA
« on: March 17, 2011, 08:38:22 PM »
I imagine Los Angeles and New York are stronger magnets than the SF Bay Area for FSU culture visiting for performances.

Over the past several years we have had Zveri, Strelki, TaTu (cancelled), and Leningrad (my favorite by far) and others perform in the SF Bay Area.  Perhaps we can use this forum/thread to do a better job of sharing when FSU culture is coming to the USA.

I have found this to be a great way to experience FSU in USA., would love for this group to be a good source of eyes and ears for ways to connect with FSU here.

Perhaps it is a bit indulgent on my part, but I cannot understand why Nu Virgos (ViaGra) and Meladze have not performed in USA, they would be such a cross cultural hit.

Gogol Bordello will be at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View near San Jose on May 15, 2011.  Should draw a large FSU crowd.

The Russian National Ballet Theater is performing Romeo and Juliet tonight here in Albany.

It seems to me that we are always having visits and events here in Chicago.

There is even a web page to keep everyone up to date.    Bomond.com
