Free SMS in Ruusia from computer ??
« on: March 27, 2006, 01:28:07 AM »
Hi

From my phone company I've used a system, where it was possible to send 4 free SMS's every day to Russia.

But Friday the company stopped this service, so I wonder about there's anybody who knows a place where's it's possible to send some free SMS's every day, because it's easier than use the phone and goes faster.

Have a nice day

Depending on the person in Russia's provider, you can find some free services such as MTS:

http://sms.mts.ru/cgi-bin/cgi.exe?function=sms_send&isFree=1&Lang=1

Otherwise, for a small fee you can use ipipi, which will allow you to  send SMS to practically anyone, anywhere, who has a mobile:

Yes, definitely ask. It costs my Natalia 6 cents USD (almost 2  rubles)  for every sms she sends me (she uses MTS).  That  adds  up quickly and those are rates in Moscow.  The rest of the country  is  more expensive. I don't know about the Ukraine.

MTS currently has a special running, 3 cents USD 16 March to 30 September.

That is the whole point that Elen made earlier and I echoed it,   ASK your girl, it is not always free.  My Natalia has to pay 6  cents USD for every SMS she sends.  Received SMS are free for  her.  YMMV.

I send the SMS by the computer. She receive the SMS and take her mobile and write back.

I believe it will always cost something to write SMS's from a mobile phone ??.

I pay about 0.33 Dollars to send an SMS from Denmark to Kaliningrad, but if I use the computer it's free - I mean I pay for the Internet anyway.

I'm not sure about I misunderstand something here ????.
