Title: Apartment in Kyiv
Post by: Franco Rey on March 31, 2019, 05:37:45 AM
Hello... I'm new to the forum. I found this site by Google search. I'm very attracted to Ukrainian women since I met some in Vancouver (but they are married).. I have a membership in Amazon online, so I already read a couple good books on dating Slavic girls in their turf.

I have a membership in ukrainedate.com... There are a lot of scammers there, but also some real girls who want the real thing. I want to gather a list of some five good prospects and then go visit.

As I already found one such good prospect, I'll be taking a vacation in August, and will make the trip to Kiev and stay for three weeks. I already made up my mind about renting an apartment (not a hotel room)... My question for you guys is: Can anybody here guide me as to how to find a good, not expensive apartment in downtown Kiev? I want to do things on my own, don't want to deal with any agencies if I can avoid them.

Thanks a lot for any help.

Welcome

You are going to get a spectrum of advice

If this is your first visit and you do not know Russian / Ukrainian you either need to visit one lady - who will meet  you and be your 'shield' or pay for some hand-holding  - esp. if you insist on renting an apartment

Those who have done at least one trip will feel more confident and THAT is the time you might try to go it alone

I am a WM VO  strategy guy .. but others prefer VM ...

BTW .. I'd suggest learning to write Kyiv - as Kiev is the Russian form of 'translation' ....

And I have no idea what you mean by this:
"I am a WM VO  strategy guy .. but others prefer VM ... "

I guess there's some internal lingo here that I am not aware of, so please clarify.
And I don't know anybody in Ukraine, and I've never been there.

Thanks. I see  :D
I guess I'm a WMVM. Unless the sole prospect appears to be extraordinarily good over time, I'd rather visit many girls. A numbers game, more than all the eggs in one basket.

But I still have no idea how to rent an apartment in Kiev.. ehr Kyiv. ::)

By hand holding moby is referring to having your lady friend help you arrange your apartment and help you with grocery shopping, transportation and such.  Or hire a local interpreter (independant - not through a dating agency) to help you with these things.

I would recommend Airbnb for your first apartment.

Airbnb. There are plenty of good apartments and respected hosts around Maidan and Kreschatyk. How much it costs depends on your budget and the exact location/quality of finish on the apartment. If I am visiting for a few days, I am happy to pay more per day than for a longer stay. The pricier ones will have amenities like jacuzzi's and sauna's.

I am glad others have clarified the acronyms !

Bear in mind you've not dome this before and if you THINK you are a VM guy - you'll probably learn that you'll attract the wrong gal and miss the keepers - MY opinion

My 'hand holding' is indeed THE woman on a VO or if you really want to try VM .. a 'translator / guide' who is batting for your side ... NOT an agency one - who will suggest trips with their translator .. and empty your wallet - possibly with a lady who shares the cut ..

The problem you can encounter with RB and some other is that they will propose you to dismiss your booking to cut off the site. If you refuse they will find a pretext to not give you the flat. But on an other hand if you agree the classical trick is to give you any other appartment, far from where or what you want because the one you have "booked" has already gone for a long time.
Be careful when you find a flat through ad because there are a lot of go between and they just get a fee but they are not the owner and go to some local rental agencies.

Probably the best is to deal with an agency who has an adress, a name, a site, an potentially someone who speak enough english. Arrange with them to pick you at the airport WITH THE KEYS delivered to you asap. And to drop you at the airport at the end. Purchase the whole package, you are probably going to pay an advance because they don't want taxes don't rip them off and ANTICIPATE to pay the rental in CASH.
The price should be negociated if it's for three weeks because the have price for one day, three, or seven. In your case you can negociated.
If something is wrong with the appartment. Someone will ask you the total sum in cash the very first day so you should  pay only the night (or if you have pay three as deposit don't give more money) and tell that's not the flat you have booked. Don't worry the owner or whatever will call you very quickly or find a solution.

Never, never make some arrangement with a local girl for your appartment and for the terp. NEVER. Find a terp by yourself, there some good, explain her exactly what you are going to do and what you expect. Choose a man or an old lady, not a model, that will fuck your dating very likely.

It's bad that you have already a good propect because you are probably not going to fly before two months, and this one will naturally waiting you to make a VO. So the best strategy is three weeks before to send a bio, have some exchanges, and tell them that you will come. Of course they will not believe you, but the first hours you are in Ukraine you start to call your top ladies and find an appointment. You could loose one or two because some would realize that you are doing a VM but generally you will be fine. I met dozens and dozens and they never flaked me.

Keep all time your passport with you and all your credit cards and money. Even if you go five minutes to the grocery.

I did a sabbatical in Kyiv for 6 months, many seasons ago...
I was ďhuntingĒ the girls at Taras Shevchenko Univ
Khreshchatyk is THE ďelitnyĒ location, itís centrally located to pretty much everything
Iíd really recommend getting an apartment in this area,
well lit, which is an important night time consideration, youíll see why when you get there
totally recommend pick-ups at the university or nearby places
easy to pick up girls there, and they are super fine looking
plus outside the univ is Shevchenko park, also a 5 star pickup spot, my favorite actually...

learn some russki slovos
the devs find it charming when you throw a few Russian words into your conversation
say ďchoot chootĒ instead of ďlittle bit" for example or horrosho instead of OK

some considerations:

food: overall a positive, ask where the local ďgastronomeĒ is located
transportation: easy, taxis are cheap, you can hire a local driver all day for $100
from Khreshchatyk you can walk EVERYWHERE

boredom fighting
depends on your interests, Iíve been to EVERYTHING in Kyiv, more than enough to fill your 3 weeks, would recommend Besarabsky Market early on, youíll see why when you get there
Andriyivski Uzviz is an interesting hunting ground as well, too many cultural, historic places to list

I had my own unique pickup style in Ukraine, which was incredibly successful
I am an amateur artist, so Iíd set up my palette and easel in either a market (where a good 80% of the foot traffic is women) or a park and Iíd begin to paint
all the while Iím watching the passing crowd of pedestrians out of the corners of my eye
many of the women passing by me would alter their trajectory so they could view my work
I would intently ignore them
a few would linger to more closely observe, if they came to within a meter or so of me and IF they were super fine looking THEN I would make eye contact and smile...
even on a slow day in Shevchenko Park, itíd only take an hour to get a date with a super model/college student using this approach...

Can't imagine going from Canada to Ukraine in the last part of March.   If you wait five weeks, you wind up with all of the right women parts on display.   But, I guess, being from Canada, you have to imagine those parts, anyway - at least for nine months out of the year.

Welcome to the board.

I am an expat American living in the Republic of Georgia. Last Thursday I arrived to Kyiv at Boryspol airport. Right now I am staying at a Airbnb apartment. 7 nights for $161. I recommend you get an apartment near the city center. By Maydan Square (However it is spelled) or within several kilometers of it. Screen capture the map and put it on your laptop or device. It is useful for showing where you want to go to the taxi drivers.

I suggest you bring some USDs for exchange into UAH. You'll need it for the taxi. I was just through the airport so I can tell you the airport exchange rate. It is 22.1 to the USD. This is an outrageous rate of exchange. Around a 20% charge. Normal is 27.1 to the USD. I suggest bring 2 - $50 bills and exchange one at the airport. The taxi from Boryspil airport to Maydan is about 750 UAH (less than $30). Go to the taxi help desk by the exit. They will set you up with a ticket you can give to a taxi driver waiting out front. This ticket will have the address and the cost to get you there. I am south of Maydan about 10 kilometers. It cost me 580 UAH to get here.

I have a phone with dual sims. One is Geocell for Georgia. The other is KievStar. These are the recommended providers for those 2 countries. Get your phone set up before you leave the airport. You never want to be unable to make a call. I've learned that the hard way! (Moby could elaborate)

Be extra nice to your Airbnb host. Leave the place clean and leave some extra supplies  behind. Find nice things to say in your Airbnb review about your host and his or her apartment. The reason? Because you might decide to rent from them again and make private (cash) arraignments for an extended stay. As example I rent an Airbnb in the Georgian resort city Batumi on the Black Sea. My apartment I rent now usually goes for $70 a night during the tourist season, May 1 to October 31. I rent it at $350 a month in the off season. My next apartment starting in May, I rented it at $25 a night back in August. That would be $750 a month. I have made arraignments with the Georgian family that owns it to rent it to me for $350. Both of these hosts see me as a desirable tenet. They like me! And I like them! Also steady monthly income from a full rental is desired as a lot of these places don't get full occupancy, so there is that.

Take it from me Moby knows what he is talking about. These women know when a man is doing a VM. In my experience from last year most of the best ones will not want to meet with you, period. A VM guy is suspicioned to be a sex tourist, or a type of one. What to do? The better odds are to choose one woman that is not too far out of your league or age range. My lady (I hope she is my lady) is 15 years younger than I. IMO a perfect "10" (I hate the rating system). I am (I think anyways) about a 7. When I finish losing weight and buff up at the gym (called here a sportsal) I might even get to an 8  :D  Or I look awful, just above that of an ape.

In the Starting Out section I have a thread about expat life in Georgia you might find interesting. Georgia would one hell of nice place to take a UW on a trip. Most have never been to this interesting and beautiful country. Ask Moby and he can tell you how low cost things are here. He visited me a few weeks ago.

It is real, real easy to spend a lot of money and come up dry. Worse though is hooking up the wrong woman. I've been holding the title of expert on that subject for the past 18 years. Just getting back in the saddle. Wish me luck and good luck on your endeavor!

Thank you, guys, for welcomes and excellent advice.
Yeah better to be careful, I can imagine
The renters being tricky. And the lone
prospect seems to be very promising.
So maybe I'll stick to her. There are local agencies
that guarantee me a nice apt downtown, and to
pick me up from airport, I have to send a deposit,
the rest on arrival... That sounds good.
And yeah, I'll go in August.
Thanks, I also wish you good luck, Maxx2

Actually, March is not a bad time to travel to the FSU. Airline fares are much cheaper than the summer months. If you can find the right lady [like I managed to] she could help find an equally affordable place to stay. She will also know enough English and also have friends who do.  удача [Udachi--Good Luck]

Hello... I'm new to the forum.

Welcome to the forum.

You are going to get a lot of advice. Some of it will be great and some
of it will be more dubious. Take the good advice and ignore the rest, but
above all don't get offended, you are fairly anonymous her and nobody
knows your situation, your goals, or your personality better than yourself.

My advice is to do a lot of research here and here are a couple of links to
get you started off in the right direction

August is a long time to wait, FSUW can be very pragmatic, hopefully somebody
like myself (don't worry about me I'm happily married) doesn't get on plane and
curl her toes visit her first, but if that's as soon as you can get there then
how soon could you meet her again if you think she's the one?

If I get lucky, maybe she'll invite me
to stay at her place  ;)

I recommend that you get your own apartment especially for the first trip. If things
don't work out then it could get uncomfortable and what if she lives with Mamma?
or relatives. You want your own place, if you two hit it off you have an excellent chance
of playing house, and believe me there is nothing better than that.

I believe this is Pavel's page
http://ukrainian-connection.com/

http://kiev-apartmentrental.com/services/

You can also try airbnb and others. You want to stay near the center
near Kreschatic Street or Pushkinskaya Street

Many will have airport pick up or your girl might want to meet you at the
airport (I do recommend that if you are visiting only her).

Udachi!

Bill

It's Удачі in UA and Удачи - it ends in an "ee" sound .. not an 'a' ( pendant mode, sorry, Tfcrew !)

The best time to go - if you see a lady you like - is ASAP .. You are not alone in the game and if she is 'into VM' - she may be meeting other guys ...   ?!

It always puzzles me why 'VM' advocates do not 'get' this ;)

Pat is 100% right IMO, August is THE WORST time to visit. Summer vacation means many girls are away from home. Have fun in Odessa but most there aren't looking for a husband.

Re apartments, http://rent365.net/

I have used this agency many times, they seem to be cheaper than AirBnB. If you stay for three weeks you may be able to haggle a 10-15% discount. Just be aware that almost all the staff don't speak English and those that I met for check in/out never spoke English. They require cash payment and 500UAH security deposit which you get back when you leave.

I know... But I can only go in August. On the other hand, as we speak, she seems to be very much into me, more and more... Very sweet girl, actually, so far. So, that will have to suffice. If not, the woman at the agency I mentioned said that she can get me dates with another four or five local girls in her database. She says hers is a small agency, so she personally screens all the girls, to make sure there are no scammers or prodaters. She says if I catch a scammer, then I can meet five more girls for free.  I'll try to post a link here soon, see if you guys know the agency.

But I hope my girl will remain constant, because so far she's saying and doing all the right things. If so, I'll be caught in her net  :)

After visiting in August, I can go see her two or three months later, again. That should work, I guess.

Hi Franco,

Now I understand you have met this lass via an agency.

I have never used one, 'going direct' ...

These agencies have to organise meets to survive and it is not in their interest to have their ladies wait for one guy and try to control communication.(

If you date a girl from an agency, you don't have any problem with VO or VM. She is from an agency and you are supposed to meet many from an agency.
I would recommand you to schedule at least four meetings and to see them ALL.
And after you make your own opinion.Additionnaly i bet that 1/3 of the girls will be not available when you will be in FSU.
You could be surprised and the girl you believe being the one could not keep her rank. Believe me i have a long experience on this lol...

Hi msmob. Nope... I met my girl through Ukraine Date. She has a verified profile in ukrainedate.com, so chances of her being a scammer/prodater are slim, I think.

I found the agency because the owner offers apartments alone, not necessarily in conjunction to meeting her girls. But when I explained to her my situation, she said, I hope all will go fine for you, but in case it doesn't, I can introduce you to some of my girls, so you don't make the trip in vain.

My girl is not in the agency. I'd meet the agency's girls only so as to not come back home empty handed. But yeah, if I had to meet other girls, then I'd try to meet as many of them as possible. I hope it won't be necessary, though. The prospect of meeting total strangers is not very appealing, at first impression, no matter how cute they may be.

Sure... I'll do from memory, as she said she won't come to the site no more, and she asked me to not come there either, as she doesn't want me to "fall prey to temptations".

They don't charge per letter, and far as I know, there's no chat app. They charge a monthly fee. About $ 50 dlls for one month, but if you pay for three or six months, the fee is significantly reduced. I paid for one month only, as I didn't know if the site would be good or not.

There are a lot of scammers, including Ukrainian girls who mysteriously have been sent on work assignments to Ghana and Nigeria... Yeah, right, I am sure they're telling the truth  :D

Most of the profiles are fake/scammers. But if you look carefully, there are genuine, sincere girls there. I would choose verified profiles only, as it means the administrators of the site have checked the girl's identity and location already. If you complain of a fake profile, they remove it right away. They did so with a couple "expat" girls who were working in Africa, apparently  ;D

But also, I detected that the local agencies (the local agencies are feeders to the system) send a lot of unsolicited copy-and-paste letters with photos of gorgeous babes, invariably sent from gmail addresses, straight to your email address. Now, how did they find my email address? I wonder if the admins of the site are in the trick, very possibly yes. But then, they have to compensate the local agencies in some way.

I think the site is good if you carefully weed out all the fakes, but this is not so difficult, as the genuine ladies advertise themselves in a very different manner. The difficult task is to find them. It needs patience  :)

I merely ask as some Agencies can seem decent but be otherwise. As you know I don't use Agencies and never have done and don't intend to. I know though that others here are very familiar with Agencies particularly those in Kiev and may be able to give Franco a good insight into them.

In any case I am intending to go to Kiev around May time so different time of year so my activities in no way conflict with Franco.

there's absolutely NO REASON to use an agency
and a very big reason (fraud) to avoid them...

between social media and just freaking getting on a plane and going there what more do you guys need?
everything is so simple these days
and yet you're all still struggling...

I may not have a use for the agency. I'll ask my girl for  her opinion about where to stay. I got a feeling she'll provide valuable ideas.

Stay near Kreshchatyk, Kyiv's main street.  Most everything interesting in Kyiv is central unless you know the city well.  Furthermore, lots of areas now don't have lighting at night, which can be dangerous.

Finally, unless you are 16, you are probably communicating with a woman, not a girl.

Thanks for the advice. In the nights, for sure I'll stay in the downtown area.

Mm... The politically correct people would take offence for calling a woman girl. But they take offence for about everything one says,  these days. But a wholesome girl likes it, she knows it is a term of endearment. My girl certainly likes it, I know so even though I started calling her "my girl" only a few days ago, i know that she likes it.

I've never had a woman who objected being called girl by me.TThis includes Slavic women. Where is the offence? I.dont see it anywhere  :)

I've even.called them "little girl"... and they still like it. Because they know it's an affectionate term. Tenderness, you know? The kind that happens in romantic relationships... Perfectly ok, if there's some intimacy with the... girl.

Try reading your sentence ...

The woman bit was a clue ...

Ironically, Q for Boethius - what does "Девочка" mean ... Girl or Young lady ;)

Oxford Dictionary - girl -
1.  A female child
2.  A relatively young woman

I'm not trying to be difficult, but of course women don't say anything.  The fact you don't cue in on why is rather telling.

Yes, moby, but it's jokey/flirty.  In serious conversations with women,  you would not use devochka.

Nope.. In my world, interchangeable terms. So, I've never had a girl who objected being called woman by me , either  :D

And to show that this is a bit of nonsense, try recalling the names of countless pop songs... Girl.. My Girl... Another Girl... The Girl that I Loved... I'm Your Girl (sung by a female singer!)... What are you going to do, demand that the titles of the songs be changed to "individual who identifies as female? Oh God   :D :cluebat:  :D

And yes  you're trying to be difficult. I don't mind  though. Pop songs are enjoyed by people of all ages  not just teenagers, that's more nonsense.

To.your question,  I'd feel very amused. Certainly not offended.

And about the universal term "girlfriend'... Should we demand that Websters  Oxfird  and all the dictionaries  changed the term for womanfriend? Femalefriend? I'll call my womanfriend now... don't know, it sounds really weird... and a bit ridiculous  :cluebat:  :)

I lived among FSUM.  They are not grown children.  They are more gallant than WM, without a doubt. Their culture is super macho.

Why would you believe what FSUW tell you?  Don't you think you are being manipulated?

I lived in the culture.  I visit the culture annually.  I  have visitors from the culture in my home most years.  What you are told is not the reality, in my experience.  Of course, you as a WM, will be told that.  FSU individuals lie to Westerners frequently, in fact, mostly.

I've come to the conclusion that even addictions are not particularly different there and in the West, it's just that in the FSU, it is out in the open, whereas in the West, it's hidden, and there, it is predominantly alcohol, whereas here, drugs lead the way.

Spouse's Country: Ukraine
Status: Looking 1-2 years
Trips: None (yet)

You have practically no experience with the culture and never been there. You will be a sheep among wolves with your fanciful generalizations. The culture is different but it cuts both ways - it's not a place for the naive or rose-colored glasses. The fact that you are seeking guidance on whether to use an agency for an apartment is not a good sign.

msmob - I've only ever heard the term "девочка" for a child, never a woman. The term "девушка" is more appropriate.

I am pointing out what most people think, but are too politically correct to state, merely for illustration of the OP's point.

FTR, I married a Soviet citizen, not someone from the FSU.  He arrived in my country still a Soviet citizen, on a Soviet passport, in the period when officials were still afraid of a kaliyivshchyna in Ukraine, but before the USSR collapsed.

I didn't specifically seek out someone from the FSU because citizens of my country were too (add your applicable adjective here).  My husband would have been happy to live in the USSR, I didn't want to live in a broken society where I would be under surveillance 24/7, subject to provocations each time I stepped into the street.  When we married, we didn't even have a guarantee we would be able to be together.  And then, I was thrown out of the country.

rwd is correct, the fact you got so worked up about a few posts is not a good sign in dealing with a society that is built on deception, through no fault of the majority of its inhabitants.

Whoa, big cultural differences north of the border
I see you are from Canada, we are much more paced in the USA with our women. We never start by calling a new lady in our life as 'girl' or 'my girl.' When appropriate we start with introducing her as Ms Tuesday. When you introduce your 'girl' as Ms Tuesday, she will beam with loving affection because she graduated from being Ms Monday and having to pick up pizza and beer before NFL kickoff. Of course, you would never introduce Ms Monday as 'Ms Monday', just rather a football buddy. Ms Tuesday is the major benchmark. Nothing says love more than $3 Tacos and Margaritas for Ms Tuesday. Eventually when she graduates from Ms Friday, then its acceptable to introduce her as my girl.

But I hope my girl will remain constant, because so far she's saying and doing all the
right things. If so, I'll be caught in her net  :)

After visiting in August, I can go see her two or three months later, again. That should work, I guess.

If you can hold everything together until August (not advised) then 2-3 months
later for a second trip if everything works out is good.

I visited Angel Eyes 4 times within a year. Each time I became more and more
convinced that she was the one for me. Then she came to visit me twice, and I
married her before she got a chance to change her mind.

Piece of advise # 2

A couple of them managed to irritate me, some hours ago. Those two can go to hell, for today

Mate here is some good advice now, you need to grow a thicker skin. You can't get that riled up on some rather harmless comments on a forum.

One reoccurring thing I seen with FSU girls/women/ladies is their ability to "push your buttons" to see how you react, how you manage your irritation/anger/annoyance.
It can be very subtle and they only do it to test you, but if you fail that test - you are out.
They want to make sure you are that attentive, good husband material that WM's are made out to be.

In part I think that has to do with the society itself, they are VERY blunt and don't really ever hide their opinions, and in part because they are used to manage men in a very masculine society where many have drinking problems and anger issues.

Hey Franco  -- I have stayed out of this  to see what unfolded  and you aint to good at any of this ! LoL !

I am going to take a different line ( easy stuff like how to find an apartment is childs play -hey even Moby can do it_)

So --when a guy comes here with his story and ideas -- I am always most interested in   who he is-what he is -- and why he thinks he is attractive to a fsuw ( or girl !!!!! )
eg   are you  160 cms tall and 120kgs?  What is relationship history> ?  Does he live in his mothers basement? What is work history?  etc etc
Why you ask--   because we have seen on forum - I have seen personally- many guys  who are everything from delusional ( eg Trenchcoat)  to just outright plain nut cases .

So--

Me? 178 tall. 71 kgs. In shape, I go to the gym three times a week. 51 years old. My girl is 32. I don't own a house, I rent a big basement. Have a new fancy car. I work in security systems. Video monitoring systems. I'm a programmer, specialized in video systems, lately. I'm handsome. Actually, similar to my avatar, that's why I chose it. Don't know if you would believe it, but I think I hold the all time championship in number of Slavic virtual girlfriends in vkontakte (for a foreigner, and probably beat many Russian contenders for the title, as well)... So many girlfriends that I lost count of how many, long ago.

So, I know these women, to an extent. Both Russian and Ukrainian. Even though I haven't been there yet. I'm not married to one of them just because I chose not to, based on my own feelings of disappointment about them. Most of them were (virtual) cheaters (does that say something about the Slavic women soul?), others, I was just fed up with their being so self absorbed and arrogant. The latest ones were as beautiful as supermodels and as hot as the agencys' hottest girls. I'll show you just two of them... Alexandra and Marina. And I didn't want them because they're... Princesses, you know? Insufferably vain and selfish. And I want a down to earth woman.

What else do you want to know?

To succeed and most of all to have an enjoyable journey, you need to get to understand their mindset, understand the society, it IS very different from the west.

Once you do that - it's only a question about "boy meet girl" as everywhere else.
They might be beautiful and pleasant - and just as rare as unicorns -  but they are still "just" Women.

Now that you mention it... You're right... This is one of the main reasons that I didn't stick to any of them in vkontakte... Because they kept pushing my buttons all the time. Even after half a year of online relationship... Even after a year... They still kept testing me often. And the tests often involved other men. As in, making me jealous on purpose, to check my reaction. Little things, but still malicious in intent.

The "walls", where people post content, are fertile ground to put a man's patience to test, in a thousand different ways.

Which I always thought was nasty. And I could feel it, that they were doing it on purpose, to check my endurance and patience. I also noticed that the Russian guys were not subjected to the same severe tests as I. I took that as unfair advantage for the locals (which is exactly what it is) ... I thought that was very unfair and it pissed me off a lot. And it always seemed that the tests would never end. I hated it! I told several of them: I'm not a fucking lab rat! ... to be under examination all the time! I hated it. And all of them are like that. That part of their make up I dislike very much.

I guess you don't know it, but people can get married out of vk. A couple friends now live in Florida. They met in vk. And, I had girls ready to welcome me in Russia or Ukraine, or ready to visit me. Sorry, but are you a not very bright nay sayer? Cos you look like one. And you lack in manners.

A few others Boethius,RWD,Pat  , 2T has more patience than most here !,  Funny thing is-they have all contributed in thread with material to think about.
All of these people have different perspectives and will say when they disagree with ANYONE --and that is not to say they agree when silent either.

Maybe so. But the real problem is often not what is said, but how it is said. NO real need to use verbal aggression. If it comes, it will be met with more verbal aggression. This is a mirrored reaction that is to be expected, naturally. You give me sh, I'll give you sh.

I will not respect anybody who can't say things without resorting to verbal aggression ("wisecracks").. It is bullying, in effect.

It is perfectly possible to say things without trying to a smart ass.

Franco,

Are you for real?

A relationship online when you haven't met is  not a commited relationship..

Sure people meet and marry from social media...I found  my wife to be on long time unvisited profilles on dating sites and tracked her down using social media... But we Skyped, daily and met in REALITY...

Guys with salaried jobs and limited holiday (vacation) time are going to find this hard to take, but he who hesitates is defo lost...

Of course you got your buttons pushed... you were not taken seriously... you have to get on the plane, matey...

Until you do..you are just another keyboard romeo.

Judging by the photo posted...'Girl' was the appropriate adjective.

Now, whilst there are guys in long term marriages with lassies young enough to be their daughters they tend to be stable and calm..  Women like that.

Do not get so worked up. )(

This !ol git has made loads of mistakes in life and is pretty good at spotting a newbie heading for a big wake up call.

Sorry, but until you have been..you ain't being realistic..

You can be !verbally agreesive' with us...but we are trying to wake you up....for your own good.

You are dreaming, matey..

I even learned basic Russian after so many video chat sessions. And I didn't get on a plane because I was never convinced that any of them was worth of it. Not after the endless "tests".. That's the way they are, I reckon. But, also, that's the way I am. 27 and 29 are too young for a 51 yo man?

You really think you are too wise, don't you? Some of you... What do you know? Conventional platitudes?

We didn't meet because I didn't want to. That contradicts your theories on age (which never bothered the real subjects: the girls themselves). I'm feeling irritated again. That wise ass attitude really pisses me off, mr wise man. Do you ever screw up, or are you perfect as well? Or you just think you are perfect. BS.

Maybe I will go to sleep.

Like every forum you will find some  :arguing:
Try to keep the right informations you need.
The problem is that the virtual life is just virtual.

Lets me explain :
There are many reasons that a RW would like to talk with a foreigner : learn english (more and more popular), have a nice travel (most popular hobby in FSU : travelling) and so on.

But now imagine that she is a nice girl, genuine and start to have some feelings, do you know that more than 90% of virtual talkers never come (90% is a kind numeral)?
How she could feel if you deceit her?
Hurt.

What we want to say is that there is a big gap existing because 1/ you never yet moved to FSU 2/ and real meeting has nothing to do the keyboard.

If i talk to a FSU women and i say : i am Pat, i have been married to an ukrainian woman and we loved each other 5 years, i really love Ukraine, i came there 18 times (i have a copy of my old passport with all the stamps because 99% of time a normal FSU women would imagine that you are cheating on her), NOW she starts to raise an elbow and consider my message with more attention (nothing more).

This is good that you are slim, this is good that you are sportive and that's better that you have learnt some russian. Keep on track.

FSU really go for calm and assured.

"You really think you are too wise, don't you? Some of you... What do you know? "

some of us spent years actually living there, engaging at business, professional and personal levels
some of us are descended from fearless Russian fighters with centuries of family experience combating Russians (cuz some of us come from there!)
some of us skipped the virtual girl friend approach and went straight to the mother lode with a gold pan and struck it rich

so if you have a Russian problem
who ya gonna call?
Russ Busters!
"I ain't afraid of no Russian"

P.S.
if you be bringin home a Russian woman mon, ye best not be livin in no basement!!
Russian woman will want second floor to be livin on at least, not first floor, not basement, horrosho?

can't wait til ya actually get to Russia and experience life there, oh boy oh boy!!!!

my first trip may years ago
my girl friend asked me to stop smiling at people on the street, because:
1. the people will think I'm crazy
2. or the people will think I'm making fun of them

your first trap when you visit will be, "ohh, it's kinda like the West, sorta similar, cuz ya see similar buildings, cars, people, etc"
but you'll soon learn that perception is dead wrong...

one day you should make it a point to leave behind the virtual world and cozy basement and turn lose the hunter that dwells deep in your IMAGINATION
I woke mine up, and let him run free and pillage and plunder in Ukraine
to this day, I still have 3 female captives in my house as a result of raids for females on Ukrainian villages many years ago
and you talk about your virtual girl friends, a 51 yr old man, so sad....

is it your mom's basement that you're living in?
does it get cold and damp down there in the winter?
did she give you some heavy warm socks to wear?

my man, airbnb which I've used frequently lists apartments on Khreshchatyk for under $50/night
seriously, what more do you need?
everything that stands between you and having a fun 3 weeks in kyiv can be solved online in 10 minutes or less

the internet is a collection of tubes all connected together, the foil isn't an antenna
no, no, no... it's in case one of the tubes leaks and the foil is there to catch the leak so it doesn't leave a stain on the basement floor!
Franco's mom would be really angry if he left another stain on the basement floor

Franco, to answer your original question, it is way too early to be looking into an apt/flat in Kiev. Why don't you wait to see if your communication with girl develops closer. Who knows, you may end up in another city with another lady? If you are intent with booking a apt early, use booking.com, many hotels/apts there have free cancellation.

As someone said before, airbnb is good but their cancellation could come at a cost. dobovo is used by locals and inexpensive but again cancellation could be an issue.

msmob - I've only ever heard the term "девочка" for a child, never a woman. The term "девушка" is more appropriate.

Sorry moby, I missed your original question.

rwd is correct, девочка is a child, say, under 16, девушка is "young girl", a young lady of say, 16-21, and unmarried.  However, if you are referring to women in a jokey manner (my husband used to call babas on the benches devochky), you would use the former, rather than the latter.

So...when a lady in a shop forgets her phone and a man runs after her, am I wrong in thinking I heard' девушка ' ?

How SHOULD you refer to a middle aged lady, respectfully, in such a scenario...?

That's OK... When I read folks post about 'girlfriends on VK' .... and their pronouncements on FSU guys and those who believe it .. I realise I'm in a parallel universe.   ;)  some of the most loving, caring  husbands I've met are FSU guys.

'

ďkĒ as I call her in my TR, had a bad time with her ex, due to his drinking, cheating and not helping which their children, but he has changed his ways considerably.

I was only chatting last night privately with a member (who has given me great advice over the last year) regarding the topic of fsu men.

Before travelling to Russia, I believed the stereotype, due to one womans experience, but now after spending 2 weeks here, Iím not so sure that generally speaking itís correct. Especially with who you would consider average middle class men.

Everyday I see men playing with their children. Pushing their  babies in prams, with no wife in sight, often with other men and their children. They take their kids fishing roller blading and flying kites.

Iíve seen many Men riding bikes with their partners. Fathers doing the same with their kids. Middle aged men taking  picture of their wives and girlfriends on the foreshore.

I see men my age hand in hand with their partner, laughing and enjoying each otherís company. Couples on the beach embracing each other. Actually Iíve seen far more public displays of affection than at home.

Every time we go out for dinner there are men making incredibly romantic gestures for their wives, something I rarely see in Oz.

If you had never heard the stereotype, you would say that pubically at least, the average Russian man and father are more family orientated, romantic and thoughtful  than western men.

Just my opinion, based on what Iíve seen.

Some of the most beautiful, sexy, interesting and loving women in the world
are American women, however, 99.998% of them are happily married. You
can only pick from those who aren't.

Those loving, caring husbands have wives that stay married to them. The good
FSUW have to go after the men who are single or divorced.

You've met women after a breakup or divorce, sometimes they lump all men
together or break them into groups. Sometimes us Western men get a bit of
the grass is greener treatment by these women.

She probably means the ones who are left beyond those that aren't suitable for her or her suitable for them as they know what she is like. The girl I was with from Kherson was a good 8-9 on the looks scale. When asked about dating local guys she used to go on about the various forms of dregs around her parts. I don't for one minute believe that she couldn't find a half decent guy with her looks, now looking back. I think because she was materialistic a lot of the decent guys were either not suitable as they would not aquises or lacked the money too. Others probably ran fast as they probably decided to place their bets on a less materialistic girl that wouldn't be so demanding on the wallet. I think most guys there just want a happy bog standard family life and have no desire to be spending out in clothes shops working around the clock to pay for it and keep her satisfied. So yeah worth looking to see if there are other reasons. Odds are they will show not long after meeting if not before if you keep aware to be looking out for something.

Franco, donít take the comments so personally. Sometimes I think the more experienced members are harsh, and Iíve been on the receiving end occasionally too.

They are being abrupt for a reason. Iíve spent the last two years here as a noobie and Iíve read almost all of the 4 main sections and there are so many horror stories and very broken men who get spat out the other side of the game. Itís far better to get advice, how ever brutal you may think it is, thatís not sugar coated. What you see as bullying is probably frustration at the revolving door of guys joining who know it all because they have chatted with a few fsu women online.

During my time here Iíve seen so many guys like you, arrive on the site on cloud nine, because they have all these attractive women showing them attention and itís nothing like the harsh reality of online dating at home. Then they get given a reality check by members here. Some react badly and  never return and others take it on the chin with some humility and  grow from the experience..... be the last type of man, come back, ask questions with cap in hand and learn from the wisdom of the guys who have replied to you.

Usually I put a disclaimer on my advice regarding anything FSU, because upto a few weeks ago my experience had only been online, all be it probably the most rediculously long correspondence of anyone here before meeting. I spent over 2 years chatting  with one woman. It equated many thousands of hours of online contact.... well over 100,000 messages (probably closer to 200,000)...., hundreds of hours of video chatting, including tours of each otherís cities and sharing every aspect of each otherís lives in real time. We shared thousands upon thousands  of photos and videos. After all this I thought I knew every little aspect of her personality.

Donít get me wrong, sheís a wonderful woman and her core qualities I saw online are exactly what I found in real life, but saying that the picture I had in my head of who she was online is vastly different from who she actually is in real life, despite honestly spending more time chatting with her, than I did with my ex of 20 years, when we finally met two weeks ago I found many new aspects of her personality, that online just couldnít see. Luckily they were all good, but they could have easily been bad. Itís so easy to portray a false persona online.

So my point is you donít really know any of the women you are chatting with. Not after 2 years, chatting  up to 12 hours a day and definitely not after several months like most normal men travelling this path do.

A cool head is needed and a critical analysis of everything you do is required, if you donít want to end up like the 100ís of other men who come and go from this site, after telling their train wreck stories and vowing never to look at another FSU woman again.

And I will still put my disclaimer on.....Iím still a noob and will be for many years to come. I only know a fraction of what some of the other guys here do 😉

Itís far better to get advice, how ever brutal you may think it is thatís  not sugar coated. What you see as bullying is probably frustration at the revolving door of guys joining who know it all because they have chatted with a few fsu women online.

you go to Russia, you better be a tough SOB who rides tall in the saddle
and not be upset that the other kids arenít nice to ya

BTW Franco, Russian women do NOT RESPECT weak men, AT ALL!

Iím pretty easy going and arenít generally confrontational, but had to harden the f%*k up almost instantly on the ground and by the time I got to my hotel on the first night Iíd developed an attitude that will stay with me for life.

In the first 15 minutes Iíd barged my way through customs in frustration. Then dealt with a SIM card provider wanting to use his personal account to get paid. Next I was a little snappy at the woman at domestic security.... she was very harsh with me at first. Then when I relaxed I almost missed my flight.

I arrived at the next airport and had to deal with a woman asking for money (she looked like an alcoholic). After the taxi driver tried to rip me off and dropped me at the wrong accommodation. There I was very abrupt with the woman at the front desk, but had to apologise as I was at the wrong hotel. The real accommodation canceled my booking with no warning..... all this happened in the first 6 hours in Russia.

You have to be tough, but also be ready to show compassion occasionally. I forgot to mention in my trip report that while walking to my new hotel on the first night I saw men leave a bar, make a chair with their arms and carry an old lady across a flooded street, then return to the bar.

With that in my mind I went shopping tonight and saw an old lady with a cup asking for money. When I come out ahe was still there and no one has given her a cent I held her arm and took her shopping. It wasnít a huge expense for me and she just bought staples. She didnít speak a word of English. but I could see she was greatful.

When I told the story to ďkĒ she said she knew the old lady and often took her shopping also or have her money.... this is exactly the reason why I persisted with this woman, she has a very compassionate soul.

ere that's nuthin!!!!

living in Crimea netted me two physical confrontations in a 3 year time period
one was an attempted robbery, the other was 18 yr old drunk guys trying to impress their girl friends
both ended when I knicked my openent's face with a custom Buck knife modified to be an "automatic"
carried it with me whenever i went outside

also carried a Russian military issue 26.5 mm flare pistol with modified flares to be 3X as powerful
simple expedient of opening 3 flare cartridges, extracting powder from propellant cup from 2 and adding to the third and repacking it
kicks like a mule and hurts your hand, but the flare pistol is over built and will take it
will shoot a burning ball of magnesium 1/2 mile or 8 inches into human flesh a 1"+ hole

Ukrainians use Dobovo or one of the two main craigslist style sites for bookings.  There are more cheap bookings there (ones in the $12-20 range) there but on the nice places AirBnb is the same or cheaper if your looking at nice places right near Maiden (which is probably where you should stay) that would probably be in the $30-50 night range.  There isn't a reason to prebook for Kiev.  Lyiv near holidays and Odyessa in summer you want to plan ahead a little b/c they may get close to sell outs.  My first trip to Kyiv was for 3 weeks as well, I only booked 4 days in Kyiv at start of the trip.  I ended up staying at 2 families houses and other rentals the rest of the time.  Booked other places on airbnb while on the train ride there.

I am married now and have been on several trips, everything was super easy, and it easy to meet girls doing real simple things like going to the grocery store.  It's why when you find one she won't let you out of her sight.

hahaha

most "bad ass" thing I ever did in Russia was to shove an old lady out of line!
true story, after I lived there for a few years
one day I was standing in line and this old woman comes "out of nowhere"
and cuts in front of me
in the USA I'd smile at her
in Crimea
I took her by her shoulders
and shoved her out of line
when she looked up at me
I pointed my thumb to the back of the line
and gave her a menacing look
totally the most bad ass thing I ever did
being mean to an old lady!!
it's when I realized it was time for me leave Crimea

another snowflake that can't stand not knowing everything

all I see a  :trainwreck: in progress

Maybe you should crawl back into your basement, living your virtual life with your virtual girlfriends, out here in the real world you are in for a world of hurt if you can't even stand being contradicted on a forum.

Did I offend you again now little snowflake?

No, but you annoy me. I can't insult you because my post is deleted, but interpret my silence. In it I say to you things a lot worse than little snowflake, and that you wholly deserve  :)

Contradictions are ok. Bullying and insults are not.  And you are insulting me. And they say you're a good guy? It's good you're not a bad guy  :D

You see a trainwreck that will never happen. But I will say why.

Hurt.

I provoked real feelings in them many times. The feelings were mutual. All I had to do was board the plane. But I am not sure that I like their personalities. The tendency to put me to test all the time, this alone was a deal breaker several times. Maybe it's me. I just don't like to be under the microscope.

Arguing is ok. As long as the arguments make sense. But I found several arguments really nonsensical. Like saying that pop songs are for teenagers only. Really?? And all the fuzz about the word "girl"... To which I simply pointed out the obvious: And what will you do with a common word like "girlfriend"?... Demand that it be changed to "womanfriend"? ... or "friend who identifies as female of the species"? ... That bit was plain ridiculous. And the people sounded exactly like our PM arguing publicly that the correct term should be "peoplekind", not "mankind". And the whole world made mock of him... As I think the world would laugh at the local attempt to make the word "girl" sound improper.

How can I take them seriously if they say nonsense?

well, it would just be rude of us to turn down such a gracious invitation
ok...

is it your mom's basement that you're living in?
does it get cold and damp down there in the winter?
did she give you some heavy warm socks to wear?

My mom is dead. And this is a really stupid comment. So the mother of someone could possibly have anything to do with the matter of this thread?

It comes across as... you must have gone through a horrible childhood.

Really? I don't know. Never been to Russia. But I had a lot of virtual fights with several of them, and I always won the fights. And the women took my side, I must concede that. And I also met some real, wholesome men. And they were not bullies, and even when I wrongfully attacked one of them, he disarmed me with an offer of friendship. And we are friends to this day, and we collaborated together in music projects for years. I've been a lot more popular in the community that you'll ever know about.
My music was popular even among Russian DJ's, and I even ran a (internet) radio station with one of them, for a whole year, as a favor because he was sick and asked for my help. I know them better than you think, and, famous people apart, I may be the most successful foreigner in the community, or close to it, ever. And I think your horror stories are more fiction than truth.

Autism. It seems that you have suffered your lot... That would explain some things about you. It's a good thing that my own growth pains didn't make me a bully. This is a mark of dishonor.

So, remaining stoic and impervious to verbal abuse is your definition of strong? Were you abused as a child? No, this is plain bullying and verbal abuse, even my poor mother received venom from you... what a shame on you! And no, I don't have to put up with any of this bullying and abuse.

Something unexpected happened. I have a waitress friend in my favorite bar club in Vancouver. Most of the clientele is Aboriginal Canadian, but she is Irish born, a natural red head. She's 40-something. We're good friends. Well, she's got an 18 yo daughter, whose father is an Aboriginal man. So, she is kinda dark-skinned, but blue-eyed and very beautiful. Because mom is also a looker. Well, I just got entangled with the daughter. I've had sex with her mom before, occasionally, and now I'm having sex with the girl, and mom is just fine with my age cos she knows me since four years ago, and she trusts me. And that is a big plus.

And so, I don't know what I'm going to do. She literally fell into my lap, as a God send. I actually think she's a gift from the heavens. Maybe as a compensation for having to put up with all your venom, you snakes!  :)

And suddenly, the prospect of going to Ukraine is not so enticing. I don't know, but now the local fresh product that has been offered to me appears a lot better.

I read somewhere that the Slavic girls always keep a local boyfriend, until they come to America, just in case. Well, I can play that game too. But Anna the Ukrainian is at serious disadvantage now, me thinks. An 18 yo has a way of making that abundantly clear.

If I need your wise guidance and your evil bullying and insults again, I will come back, if not, please don't take offence, and think that I will miss you guys so much because I love being bullied and attacked!  :D

By the way, all that negativity in this forum... Are you sure you are happy people? I have my doubts. And yeah, I'm a very happy man. So, when people ask for my advice, I give it generously, and I don't bully or attack them in return. I have good manners  :)

Anyways, here's the link to the agency. I'm curious if anybody knows it or the woman owner. Just curiosity, and as plan B if my young flame fails the test. But she's doing very well. She's very direct, for one thing. I always complained to my Russian girls that they always use a double language, that they rarely tell it like it is. This is true. Like I said, my pretty young thing has a clear advantage now, for several reasons. I want to post their photos here (mom and daughter) but I won't.

So long. Need cups to not spill the venom, let me know and I'll send you some  ;D

By the way, a strong man does not need to verbally attack other men. This is a sign of bitterness or just hateful nature.

And I know you will object to her age, but there's nothing you can do. Because here, things are done as I want, and what you want or what you think (?!) is irrelevant and will be completely ignored, anyway.  :P

http://daisybride.com/

PS ... I came looking for friendly advice, I found very hostile bullies. So, not sure yet, but don't really feel like coming back. Negative stuff, I usually just discard and move on. I don't need advice wrapped in toxic materials.

So, even though you guys obviously lack in manners, I still wanted to say goodbye.

Your venom is going to harm your own souls, if it didn't do that already. So, repent, you vipers!  :D

A few tips you will not listen to..but others might

1/ Avoid agencies . I smiled when I saw daisybrides... fools and .money...I know someone with recent experience  of Oxana's outfit. But if they choose to join and repeat what they told me..  you would understand...

Again...for those who want to visit the FSU and not waste money...AVOID AGENCIES..

Lastly, Yup late twenties is FAR too young for you.

I know two guys in successful LTRs with such an age gap and they are calm and mature.

If my 27 year old turned up with you..I would have failed her re upbringing..

These coments are based on experience, mistakes and in your case..the observation that humility and common sense are in short supply.

That you WILL fail is near certain..You have an attitude issue to sound advice.

Please feel free to post wedding photos and anniversaries to prove us wrong.

If you hang around for a while, youíll actually find the exact opposite.... a friendly bunch of guys, especially privately. So many members have contacted me via pm and offered advice. Some are willing to spend hours on the phone giving their personal experiences and answering any question I have, no matter how rediculous.

I would make at least one trip, itís an awesome experience and if youíre lucky you will find a wonderful woman. Iíve dated many local women, but have never experienced the kindness, affection, honesty and intelligence Iíve experienced with a women here.

I was woken at 8am yesterday, by my apartment intercom. She had woken early and cooked me a big stack of pancakes. Caught a taxi to the shops and bought cream and condensed milk, then taken the taxi to my apartment. I met her at the lifts, still half a sleep. Without 1 word she gave me a kiss, handed the pancakes over and darted back in the lift,  as she would have been late for work..... Iím like Wtf just happened. I must be dreaming. Tonight sheís cooking for me in my apartment.

I canít belive I wasted 2 years of my life, after divorcing dating locally. My experience in Russia has affected me profoundly..... I would rather stay single for the rest of my life than settle for another Aussie woman. Iíve met many wonderful local women, but honestly there  is absolutely no comparison, if you find a good fsu woman.

If you decide to continue Franco, do some research. I found daisy brides on the scam lists. It looks to the the typical money making machine, not a place to find love, judging from one guys experience (Rick Weber, can give you his email if you want)...He was not chatting with the woman, but paid employees.

He talked to a woman for 6 months online.  then visited her.  She knew nothing about what they had discussed and didnít even know where he lived. Iím guessing she was getting kick backs from the agency and had a nice (probably expensive) date at Ricks expense.

Pretty much like the guy on the love me doco. Wasted 10k chatting to agency employees and the real girl had no idea about him or his life. He knew he was getting scammed and still put a ring on her finger 10 minutes after meeting 😖

You would think they would be smarter and give her transcripts of the conversations, so itís not so obvious heís getting scammed.

Gives you an idea why guys are a little brutal here. There are so many scam agencies out there to fall prey of, you were probably about to fall victim to one. Tough love is needed to bring some people down to earth, when first starting out....... itís a high risk high reward game as one far more experienced member told me.

I thought you guys had it clear that I was only interested in the apartments she offered, and she said it's ok if I have my own date already and don't need her girls. Unless you think she could screw me with the apartment too. That tells me that renting an apt can be tricky, so maybe I'd be better off with a hotel room in the most luxurious hotel downtown. I don't think such a hotel would be tricky.

And, to my surprise, my girl said she's ok if I get a hotel room.

But I have a local temptation now, hard to resist. Talking about that. She's 18. That's not her 'late twenties' as someone said. It's not even her 20's.

It's more complicated than that. One of my russian girlfriends in vk she still would like me to go meet her. We've had some big fights over time, because of her jealousy mainly, but after two years she sticks to me. And she's so beautiful... you guys already saw her photo.

The vk exprience is despised here... Wrongly so... you can get to know girls intimately..  It is a big dating agency, without scammers. Girls active in the commujity, posting creative content, even creating music   with hundreds of friends cannot possibly be scammers. But you guys don't know that.  It is alien to your script, so you reject it.

I know the vk girls a lot better than I know the girl from Ukraine date  for example.

Right now, I don't know what I will do. But I may post photos of wedding, babies, vacations and all.
That will be my revenge against the sour lemons he he

I will see how it goes. May come back here at times. If you guys behave yourselves lol... Thanks.

I only know a fraction of what some of the other guys here do 😉
Nice post

Daisybrides is an overpriced agency. 100$ fee to meet a lady without translation  :cluebat:

And i don't like daisy "brides".

I've used them twice. I have used other agencies including one from their former parent company "The Angelika Network" This was from back as early is the year 2000. The former owner David Stickney (A legend in the MOB business) told me in video Skype that Daisybride was the only agency that can be trusted.

$100 introductory fee? No big deal. They got to make some money to pay for their office. Some of you guys are just plain cheapos  :crackwhip:   You are so tight you probably squeak when you walk (I still like you anyways)!

Success at that agency is just a matter of choosing the right lady and in my experience doing a WOVO (like Moby recommends). Choosing the right lady has been my shortfall.

One criticism I have of the agency is not all the women use current photos. I am looking for 50 plus years, so the bloom of youth is often not on my side for physical attraction. I towards them and not them towards me. (I am one of those lucky guys who looks 20 years younger than his age  )

Regards to the agency. They do PPL but do not recommend it but rather visiting the women and exchanging contact info at the meeting. I have seen LOTS of opportunities for the agency to play games but I have never seen them do it. The lady I last seen Tuesday night (I'm back home in Batumi Georgia now) in her first letter to me she told me she didn't like letter writing. This was the only letter to me she sent. She sent it to me through the agency. If the agency was playing games with PPL that would have been edited out.

The lady? Oh Gosh. I would be proud to be seen with such a woman. Unfortunately she is a poor communicator to say the least. She hates to write and probably read so I only send photos of beautiful Batumi to her. One of oddest Slavic women I've ever met. I might have her visit me here in Batumi and see how it goes. Moby knows how cheap things cost here to entertain someone for less than a week. I have strong doubts things will work out.

Franco, sorry to see you go. You are right, people here give advice wrapped in sarcasm. I try not to do that. I got real mellow in my old age.

Hi Maxx,

$100 is a good night out even in Kyiv

Better spend it on a woman you have met on a dating site  - one you have video chatted with before - not a blind date with a woman who is a pro dater (

I recognise one woman's photo on there from 2006./7 ;)

AVOID

I am not revved up to doing it again. I still think the agency is on the up and up. The ladies are a mixed bag or a crap shoot.

ďContradictions are ok. Bullying and insults are not.  And you are insulting meĒ

awww, dry the tears please, itís just un-manly
those werenít ďinsultsĒ just observations expressed as a joke
no, see an insult would be something else, like ....

a basement dwelling middle aged putz who canít even successfully manage online contact with scammers
because he exclusively confines himself to the virtual world and is devoid of real world experience

see, THAT'S an insult!!!! but a little tiny one
I can do Russian insults to, they are most creative although a fixed vocabulary based on goat reproductive and gastrointestinal organs

but if you feel bullied and insulted here....
just wait till a Russian woman sees ďwhat you areĒ
the way we see ďwhat you areĒ

now do ya understand?

ití ALWAYS about ďyouĒ
donít blame your shortcomings on others
own it, change it, or live with it
but donít blame others
that just makes you pathetic as well as a putz

btw, when I was your age, I was already married to a Ukrainian woman and had 2 children with her and this was after a vain attempt at seducing all the pretty girls at taras shevchenko univ
so throw your little pathetic ďinsult pebblesĒ at this armor and watch them bounce off and hit you in the face, your lonesome, basement dwelling face....
compared to where you are right now Franco, you'd have to aim pretty high and throw really hard to hit a guy living in his own house with his Russian wife and bi-lingual children who lived in Kyiv for 6 months and Crimea for 3 years
I don't think you can throw that hard Franco
and I don't have to do any work at all
just let gravity drop your own words on you

cuz all I did was read whatcha wrote
and deduce what kind of person you are
and your reaction says my deduction was correct
is this not so

PS
you on the "spectrum" by any chance? duh, of course you are...
I am, and I can spot others a mile away...
what do you "collect" or do you have a special and unique "interest"
don't worry i'm not looking to weaponize this informatse against you
you already gave me enough....

PS II
to answer your question for you regarding why the "devs" are "testing you...
two reasons:
1. they're immature
2. you've given them mixed signals which has upset them so they're trolling you just to get some reaction from you

it means you've already failed, and this is before you've even gotten there
do you have ANY IDEA how to get a woman's attention and give her all the "right" signals
NO YOU DO NOT, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M EVEN TALKING ABOUT...

ohhh am I being mean to you...????

Autism Spectrum Disorder or Asperger's

best therapy I ever got was military training in the US Army
please allow me to reminisce and sing a little ditty

a yellow bird
with a yellow bill
was sitting on a window sill
I coaxed him in
with crumbs of bread
and then I crushed his fookin head

yeah, good times...
the smell of naplam (and bacon) in the morning
well, ok, it really wasn't bacon, it just smelled like it
surprised me first time, glad I didn't ask...

I am happy to have some fresh informations about this agency you have dealed with.
It's better to pay 100$ for a legit woman than one who is paid by the agency.
However 100$ is overpriced for Ukraine. In Kiev i would say 60/70$ maximum.

Max i have paid tons of money before meeting ex wifey. Cannot tell you the exact number, but probably 40 grands. Had a lot of fun, learnt english, some russian and loved travelling and discovered Ukraine.

Franco Ray,
You belong, for the moment, to the nice keyboard Romeos.
And if the girl with whom you were in contact was having some "feeling" for you she is going to be disappointed for a while.
This is why a lot of FSU women don't want to write to men (and they don't have the time and the language skills to do so).

And you know what? That's not so bad because they don't feed up the false profiles in the tricky agencies and are not present with keyboard Romeos.

Ask ANY guy on this web site who married or dated a Russian woman and they WILL ALL TELL YOU THE SAME THING I'M ABOUT TO...
IF A RUSSIAN WOMAN IS "IN TO YOU" THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT ABOUT IT IN YOUR MIND, NONE AT ALL!!!!!
THEY DON'T DO SUBTLE!!!!
YOU HAVE DOUBTS...
GUESS WHAT????

even the teen age instagram stuff my youngest 14 yr does is WAY WAY ahead of you
plus she's lived there and speaks fluent Russian...
I'd be willing to bet some serious money that my 14 yr old could "cat fish" you easily with almost no effort on her part
just pure projection, and you'd fall for it hook line and sinker
and you would be at her mercy, my 14 yr old... ok....

he goes online
cuz then
HE CAN STILL STAY IN THE BASEMENT!!!!!
where it is comfy and safe...

and do not have children
I beg you...
hahaha
what am I SAYING?
that would be like saying
Franco, do not fly to the moon in a paper air plane
fortunately, no danger at all of either of those things happening
nothing more to see here folks...
please move along...

awww, iz I being mean to you Franco

I have the perfect singles ad for you!!!

My first ex-wife, an American one, costs me hundreds of K. I know how it is,

I understand completely, if it wasnít for my children Iíd consider moving my business and my life here.

Donít feel sorry for me.... I would have paid a million dollars to escape my loveless relationship, with a mentally ill, serial cheating  binge drinker. Iím thankful everyday she had an exit affair and set me free.

A symptom of bipolar disorder is a heightened sex drive and combine that with poor impulse control, resulted in me staying by her side though 10 incidents of infidelity (that I know about) for our kids sake.

The only time I ever got any affection was when she was fall down drunk (every weekend). Most of the time she would vomit during sex from the rediculous amounts of alcohol she consumed. It was a miserable life, which is why I take huge offence at beefarmers narrow views.

Iím the opposite of him in everyway. I encourage everyone to get divorced when in an abuaive relationship and despite his views, in many relationships one person is entirely at fault and the other has nothing too feel guilty about, regarding their behaviour, which was the case for me.

Our court appointed mediator stated that she had dealt with rapist and murders and that in her 20 years in the field, she had never met a more narcissistic woman.... I was promptly given full custody of our children by the judge.

You shouldnít  judge anyone until you walk a mile in their shoes.

I've had sex with her mom before, occasionally, and now I'm having sex with the girl,

That sounds like an upcoming edition of Maury - My 51 Year Old Former Lover is Having Sex With My 18 Year Old Daughter!

I've had sex with her mom before, occasionally, and now I'm having sex with the girl, and mom is just fine with my age cos she knows me since four years ago, and she trusts me. And that is a big plus.

I once was flirting with 40 something year old in bar.  After a while she said:  "How would you like to have sex with a mother-daughter pair."   I was pretty excited and said, "Let's go."

When we went into her house, she yelled up the stairs:  "Mom, are you still up."

OMG!  Franco!!!
what are those calluses on your right hand?
oh no, another Onanist like Bee Farmer I'm afraid!!!!

And this is when you started foaming in the mouth, I suppose. You need the rabies vaccine.

There may be a big gap between  what you say and your actual situation. An achiever does not need to boast about it. Wishful thinking?

Beneath the jokey facade, there's a lot of pent up anger and hatred in you. The disease poisoned your soul. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes.

Did the disease go away? Not yet? Well... It won't go away. In case you didn't know. But you can cleanse the hatred. I know you won't. I'm ok. I don't have any such burden on me. So, I'm happy. You don't come across as happy... but more of a bitter lemon.

Having this illness is not your fault. But what you allowed it to do to your soul, yeah, you're to blame.

Wow, you are dedicating me a lot of attention... But you're not a pretty girl, so I'm not impressed.

Relax... Calm down... Some tea may help... And remember to take your medication.

Franco Ray,
You belong, for the moment, to the nice keyboard Romeos.

And I will remain one. I decided to not even bother. I have an 18 yo lover now. Why bother? And now I can use the money here, to have fun with the little girl.

... unless the Russian cutie gets serious. In which case I wouldn't hesitate. But it's in her hands now...

I know the bitter lemons won't like it, but they can go to hell...

And now, I'm really out of here. This site needs a legend: "Hazardous materials and bitter lemons... You have been warned"  :D

Toxic environment.

Yes, goodbye.

Many will have airport pick up or your girl might want to meet you at the
airport (I do recommend that if you are visiting only her).

Udachi!

Bill

Bill,
Did you ever use kiev-apartmentrental.com?  What was your experience?
I was considering booking an apartment through them, but then ran across a couple bad reviews.

I personaly use Dobovo which is english friendly.

There are tons of go between who are ready to rent you tons of appartment but there are probably 10 go between for one real owner, see the problem?
At the end they find a reason to send you to an other place, they rent themselves from the ads trhough the owners or some agencies ...

And i had bad experience with Booking
