Couple of Questions....
« on: August 17, 2009, 05:24:23 PM »
From what I have read on this site and a few others like it, the only way for a FSU woman to enter our country is either a fiancee visa or tourist visa. I have been on singles.ru for a while now and have found that some of them have visas for two years or more. So whats the deal? I also wanted to ask if anyone here knows if they can change the status of those visas to say, permenant residence? I am going to meet with a couple of them that live closer to me this week so I hope to be able to find some of this out. Any help you could give would be appreicated!:))

I am certainly not an expert on this subject by any means. However, a person could enter on any number of visas. A student visa for example if they were attending a university here. I don't believe that a tourist visa for the US is easy to get, especially for a single girl. Also to change status from a tourist visa which is for only a 3 month period anyway to different visa would be difficult and may raise red flags. The fiance visa takes around 6 months to get and allows a girl to get into the country once for the purpose of getting married. Once she is married she goes to immigration to change her status. If she is on a tourist visa and applies for a fiance visa immigration is likely to make her leave the country until they process the fiance visa. There is no short cut. The other visa is a K3 visa which is a marriage visa and like the fiance I think that you have to leave the country while it is being processed. I am not sure on a student visa as I have not known anyone that had one and then tried to change status.

Some girls are working girls, there are alot them in big cities like LA and NY, they pay their agents, their agents pay their contact who works(or knows someone who does) in the embassy, and that is how they get their student, tourist or their business visas

It just seems odd that our government would give a visa to someone for two or three years with multiple entries into this country. Maybe not? These are not young girls I am talking about either, they are in their 40's and some early 50's. Most of those I have talked with have family here in this country. Most are daughters that have either married Americans or already have their permenent status in this country. I don't know if that makes a difference or not?

Yes it can make a difference. There might be some provisions that after a person has become a permanant resident they might be able to bring a family member over. I really don't know though to be honest. All of this information can be discovered by looking up information on various visas that are issued. The information is plenty available on the net. Just do a search for it, or send an email to an immigration lawyer they should be able to answer that question.

The United States is a popular destination for artists
and entertainers from all over the world.  In FY 2004, we
issued 32,040 P-category visas for performances in the
United States.

Guess dancing would qualify, even if dress gradually becomes limited.

In the past consular officers have requested members of
a group to actually perform in order to verify that all
members of the group are actual performers.  Consular
officers should not make a routine practice of this,
without indications that one or more of the performers is
not a bona fide member of the group.  This request is
warranted only in rare cases, as part of an anti-fraud
investigation.

Too many lapdancers applying I guess..

I wonder if anyone has organized some of these visitors for meeting here, if there's enough divorced/widowed ones who are interested.
