just wanted to share this info with you in case you are travelling to Ukraine:I heard that Aerosvit (Ukrainian Airline) has filed for bankruptcy. They are continuing operating but there may be some disruptions in service. So you may keep that in mind when making plans.Ed

That's a sad news. I'm not familiar with their bankruptcy laws and regulations. I sure hope they endure, especially for the workers. I have a plan to go there in March or April and keep it mind, thanks for this information.

No, it's not sad. AS was an unsafe, uncomfortable, non-world standard airline that should be allowed to silently disappear and not be reorganized. The workers will find jobs with the successor carrier.   :rolleyes:

It is not good if  only choice for internal flights is UIA....with monopolies come higher pricing.
I only had one 'hair raising' experience with Aerosvit...but many discount flights $20-$40.

If there is demand warranting an increase in supply, competitively priced operations will be organized. Monopolies are not self-sustaining in a freely organized market...especially in the airline industry!

It only takes one "hair-raising " experience to kill a planeload of passengers.
