Here, in case somebody hasnt seen this.

This display was the work of Carson Williams, a Mason, Ohio, electrical engineer who spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels that controlled the 16,000 Christmas lights in his annual holiday lighting spectacular (from Christmas 2004). His 2005 display includes over 25,000 lights that he spent nearly two months and $10,000 to hook up. So that the Williams' neighbors aren't disturbed by constant noise, viewers driving by the house are informed by signs to tune in to a signal broadcast over a low-power FM radio station to hear the musical accompaniment.

It's -16C outside today. These pics are from last year around Christmas but today looked just about the same.

Ahhh Wonderful pictures! Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, for most sea level residents in the westcoast - wintery, snow-ladened white Christmas is so sorely missed. Once in my life, I would love to experience the full blown seasons of 4.

Good thread!

I will return this weekend and share the pictures of the spirit from our neck of the woods!

My wife and I recently saw Trans-Siberian Orchestra play to start off the seasonal spirit  :( on a warm balmy night.

It was an awesome day today but a little chilly. We tend to get many very bright sunny days in my neck of the woods.

I've done ribbe once already this season and to be honest, that was enough for me. I'll be making a traditional British dinner with turkey for us this Christmas - the first time for me outside of the UK. I'll make a lamb dinner one day too though but pinnekjøtt just doesn't do it for me.

Hey Aloe, the music in the first video is from the band Trans-Siberian Orchestra and the music is called "Wizards in Winter". They make a lot of good music and I have their CD "The Lost Christmas Eve" with that tune.

Gotta love New York City during the holidays, fifth avenue is simply great.

BillyB,

Robert and I love Trans-Siberian Orchestra. We watched their show at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise (Florida). That was fantastic.

Last Christmas we celebrated at Disney World enjoying the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios Theme Park

Maybe we can get a few more people interested in them.  Here are a few of my favorite Christmas tunes from their CD "The Lost Christmas Eve"

A year ago I was out shopping around when I stumbled upon this cool CD. Always curious about some off-the-wall new sound so I checked it out. What a cool departure from the ho-hum traditional tunes. A fusion of Norah Jones' sexy sultry blues and Sade's jazzy sensuality. I picked up a copy and turned my wife into it. Now she plays nothing else...every single track is a delicious rendition of some of the more famous season favorites. There's nothing out there like it. Guaranteed to be on top of your holiday tracks...

. That's the only youtube track. Give it a spin once or twice. It'll bite.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I chanced upon this nice song, never heard before. Is it Xmas-related?

Here's one of my favorite Christmas music based off words by one of America's most popular poets, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Based on the ongoing Civil War and family deaths caused by the war he had some doubts possibly about his faith and God but after hearing the bells on Christmas day he wrote in one passage in his poem "God is not dead; nor doth he sleep! The Wrong shall fail, The Right prevail". A few months later the war ended.
