A question of timing...
« on: November 27, 2009, 11:30:04 PM »
My plane from Moscow is due to arrive in Perm at 5:15 am.
There is a half hour stop in Niz. Novgorod along the way.

My lady has found out that two of the shuttle buses to my hotel
leave the airport at 5:30 am and 6:10 am.
The question is which one to book?
Any thoughts?

I don't know at which point I will be checked by a Russian customs
officer; Moscow or Perm?
That would obviously affect the timing.
I won't have any checked luggage.

TIA

You will not need to go through customs again in Perm. But even so, planes are more often late than early...so I would schedule the later of the two shuttles.

6:10 am.

15 minutes is not enough even if you will be first in a line. Still you need some time to find the bus stop. And you don't know how they operate in the airport with your plane, they can use a transfer bus.
It's your problem if you take my posts too seriously.

Use the later one. 15 minutes won't work but FWIW they don't always run by the clock, they do tend to run by the flights a bit. It'll be a stampede for the buses once a few people get their bags. Good luck as a foreigner trying to beat that.  :hairraising: You'll cross immigration and customs in Moscow.

Thanks RW and I/O, I'm going for the 6:10 am.
I'll be a zombie when I finally get to the hotel with no sleep that night.  :)
