Apartments in Kiev..any ideas?
« on: October 24, 2009, 06:30:16 PM »
Hello all, I will be going to Ukraine next week.. the fiancee is going for her interview, and will be getting there a couple days before me (although I will still be there in time for the interview)  We are looking for an inexpensive  (2 room) apartment.  her son will be with us, so we will need a bedroom, and a living room with a couch for him to sleep on.. any ideas as to where to look?

Hi,

You can find apartments in Kiev for prices from $40 per night. The centre from $70 per night. It really depends on what location you want and what level of comfort.

Hey, He HATO,
I can thoroughly recommend Pavel Poznyak in Kiev.  I used him on my trip from about 2 yrs ago and found him to completely reliable and a great guy.  I would consider Pavel a friend and we still occasionally chat on skype.  So, I would give him 2 thumbs up!  PM me for his contact info on skype if you want it.
Good luck with your trip!  Look forward to reading your TR.
Thanks,
Dale N.

Hello,

same question as previously. I go to Kiev in two weeks. I consider to go for a flat but what I read in forums worry me a little bit.
I would like to go trough an agency if possible as I don't want to bring too much cash with me. I stay in Kiev one week.

Any advice is welcome... I would like to stay near Maidan ( it is convenient for my meetings)...

Cheers !!

I've used the apartment company in the link below. They've been reliable for me. It's American owned and you probably won't get crappy service. There's plenty of agencies(just google for them) in town that you can use but the apartment manager told me that if you haven't used their services communicating with ladies, or just a walk in customer, they would take your money and wouldn't care who you wanted to date. If they knew something about your intentions ahead of time, they may help you find a sincere woman instead of wasting time with the pro daters. If Alex, the apartment manager likes you, he could put in a good word for you to find the better ladies to date.

Hello,

Thanks for the info. I am going to contact this company that you advised me. I contacted Pavel who kindly answered me but he accepts only cash payments.
It is ok for people who like to work with cash but not me.

I just look for a company that behaves professionally and indeed it should not be linked to my wish to use dating service or not...

I was a bit worried, some Ukrainian friends even advised me to keep with hotels...

Cheers

I mean what I write. Don't look further. If you plan to receive someone, don't go to hotel. If you plan only to visit, it does not matter and hotel will be a lot more simple (despite more expensive)

Hello,

I am going finally to Kiev tomorrow. My Russian is still limited and I would like to buy a SIM card as I stay a week there.

Do you know a shop more English speaker friendly in the centre where I could by a prepaid card !

Cheers and enjoy the coming Christmas !!
