I checked it out and read the entire 5 page news article.  Thought it deserved its own thread.

Quite interesting about a relatively new dating site where males and females are both totally honest.  Older guys want hot, younger gals and such gals want sugar daddies.  http://seekingarrangement.com/

The write-up by the newspaper gal who interviewed the site owner and some participants, provides some interesting and perhaps controversial ideas about these type of relationships vis a vis married and BF/GF relationships.

For instance, one gal said:  Her parents, she added, would be appalled if they knew she was on such a site — except if they thought it increased her chance of meeting an eligible and rich young doctor.

Another gal:  You know with a sugar daddy that they’re spending a lot of money on you and they clearly want something in return, but is that really any different than how it is with a boyfriend?

How bad should the relationship experience of a man be to ask a weird question like this one? From my perspective the question at hand equals to the question "is there any differnce between a rotten food from a garbage and a fresh food from a shop? As only a person who always gains his food from garbage might not know that there is a differnce, the same only a guy who has been associating with sh!ty women can be preoccupied with the question at hand.

The paralell between her actions and prostitution can be built providing she has sex with him for the money.   However, they can be formally married but not have sex.  In thier case after all she has seen it is probable, and I think he has enough places to get sex that it will not be an important part of their arrangement.

In that quote, the person is asking the question about is there any difference between some wives and prostitutes, which gets at the same point as the wording in my subject header.

Since you put the puke symbol in your earlier post in this thread, do the above quoted words sort of make you want to puke also?

I guess that would depend on whether those repeating them agreed with them or not.

FWIW, I scanned the original NY Times article (which is 7 not 5 pages btw) and I didn't see this question you have in the thread subject being used - were you paraphrasing?

But why is it I wonder, going by your previous posts and distinctly unsavoury tone when talking about women, that I get the impression that you really do not see much difference between prostitutes and wives...

Mars, when somebody new appears on these forum, after reading some his/her posts, I place him/ her into " worthy of reading" or "look though" category. Words of a person from "worthy of reading" category can stimulate my feelings, thinking or desire to puke depending on what they say.  Words of a person from "look though" category cannot because i do not care what they think or what their opinion is. So yes, who said the words matter. You were lucky to get into the first category of my favorite members!
