Will a Hutsul girl kill me in my sleep

A Ukrainian guy told me that if I marry a Hutsul girl and I cheated on her she would literally cut my nuts off.  He also said Hutsul girls are the most aggressive in all of Ukraine and the most unpredictable and the only guys who can handle them are Hutsul men.   Hmmmnn . . . sounds very intriguing.  Might be fun to be married to such a woman.

IIRC they are more Romanian than Ukrainian. Livestock breeders from the Carpathian Mountain regions I seem to recall.

I thought the reputation of your average Ukrainian girl is a person who is very aggressive.  My friend told me they will to go to war anytime anywhere with whomever.  If Hutsul girls are the most aggressive of all Ukrainian women--that has got to be one damn aggressive killing machine.  Then again that might be one fine experience in the bedroom if you can win her love.

Ummm, I don't know about all that really... but some of them do love to argue... and can be aggressive... and it can lead to one fine experience... winning her love may or may not be related to that... at least not to her..

This is Hutsul traditional marriage the girls look very pretty and very Ukrainian.  Also Ruslana comes from there as well I think.

No, Hutsuls are Ukrainian. They live all along the Carpathians from the Polish border, all the way to Romania.  Their language is definitely Ukrainian, and the region with the largest Hutsul population is in Ivano Frankivsk, just west of Kolomiya.  They did (and do) tend livestock, but also farm.  Rakhiv is also part of the Hutsul region, and is called the "Hutsul Alps".

There are not many women from that region looking for foreign husbands.  Many Western Ukrainians have relatives abroad, and people from that region tend to work abroad, often illegally.  

There is no such thing as a  "traditional" Hutsul wedding, as each village has its own traditions for weddings and funerals, and the region is quite large.  But, there are similarities in wedding traditions throughout Ukraine.  

Ruslana is from L'viv.  However, her father is a Hutsul.

Or then again, perhaps your friend is just clueless and misinformed about Ukraine.
