New York Layover?

Nata is planning a visit back to Odessa in the fall. She would like to stop off in NYC for a day or two on the return to rest a bit and to see a few of the main tourist attractions. She would take the very last flight out, so the question is---what to do with her bags between hotel checkout and flight.

If she's flying into JFK there are storage lockers she can rent for a day or two (not all terminals offer such, though) to store her luggage. Lots of folks with layovers use the service and then take the train into Manhattan.

That is one good option. Another would be to see if her hotel has a storage room. Some have a room for just such an occasion. Of course she would then have to return to the hotel before heading for the airport.

Is probably more convenient to store it somewhere around the area you will be getting transportation back to the airport.

City hotel with airport shuttle service probably the best bet.

Thanks folks---I was under the impression that since 9/11 ALL public lockers in airports, port and transit stations had been shut down.
