If you are interested in visiting Kharkov, please feel free to contact me. Together with my Ukrainian wife we own and run one of Kharkov longest established apartment rental companies. Established in 2001.
All our apartments are either owned or managed by ourselves. We are constantly expanding the business and we have purchased a few more apartments, that we will be releasing this year, as soon they are ready. We currently have more than 20 apartments available to rent on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
All our apartments are in or very close to the city centre. We visit each apartment every week to check that it is up to our standards. Customer satisfaction is our main aim. We have many customers from all over the World; Russian, European and English speaking countries, such as USA, Canada, Austrailia as well as the UK. Many customers return to us again and again. We have apartments from under $50 to over $90 per night available, depending on how much you want to spend. The best and most popular apartments get booked well in advance, so book early. Some guys leave it to the last minute to book their apartment, but taking pot-luck can work both ways !
Most of the old ex-Soviet Union buildings that are in the centre of the city, can be a bit of a shock to Westerners. Many of these buildings have very basic entrance halls and can be worrying on your 1st visit. You will also be lucky to have a building with a lift/elevator, so be prepared to climb a few floors. Check before you rent. There are new buildings with the excellent high standards, but not many of these apartments are available to rent on a daily/weekly basis. The risk of breakages/damage is too high for a small return on profits.
Apartment renting is far better than a Hotel room. Hotels here are expensive in comparison, ie a basic room, in an average Hotel here in the centre can cost around 100-160 $ per person. A luxury apartment with twice the space is half the price and you have the freedom of things like a kitchen, Jaccuzzi, Balcony, car parking and so on. Hotels such as Aurora and Chichikov are very good but a top quality room can cost up to 300$ per person per night !
