I came, I saw, I conquered. We are now open to comments.

( Sorry, but with everything else going on here, I could not help myself)!  ;D

In several conversations with you, Viking, it became glaringly apparent that seeking a woman in Belarus
poses some difficulties with respect to travel plans, visa process, etc. Care to elaborate on those?

Also, from long ago, I recall another issue with flat ownership - unless the flat was owned "outright"
there would be difficulties in selling it. Bureaucratic nightmare?

Let me also say I've met Mr & Mrs Viking not long ago in New York - and she is one of the sweetest,
caring, attractive and intelligent women I've ever met from the FSU - so all the hurdles were well
worth Viking's effort, and he's been abundantly blessed.

SMS..I got it. LOL.

Vaughn

Tongue in cheek post, but your comments may make me start another thread as Belarus does pose some more work than UKR or Russia. And thank you.

Though the coming seems to have been premature (pun intended ;) ) as there are no prior events described, I would still like to point you that the phrase, though translated, points at you having a rather senior disposition. This indicates a high age gap.
The next thing is that you saw, which indicates that your choice seems to be based on a visual aspect more than on intellectual one. Probably this also indicates that there is insufficient direct communication and you are just out for getting eye candy.
The conquering not only indicates that you used your economic elevation as point to obtain your target, must could even be seen as hidden sex tourism.

I there for conclude that you an old man who went on a trip to spend his money on a young women in order to have sex with.

How is that for jumping to conclusions ?
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

Hey Shadow. Not too shabby. And only a bit off the mark. I am very very old. In a wheel chair. Ancient even. She is very very young. I robbed the cradle. Way out of my league. And too expensive, and the sex requires oxygen. I hope I last long enough for her to get her green card and find another man so I can finally live in peace and die happy.

From such a long post the conclusions you drew were impressive. Wow.

You forgot to mention the flight over. Did you have an aisle seat or a window?

naw..Standing room only. But I could get to the restrooms very quickly. And every time I had to squeeze pass those smoking hot attendants.

Ahhh. No. Unless they have that funny smell.  ;D In which case it would be "I came, I saw, I passed out". But thanks for the original Latin version. I had forgotten it.

You'll certainly be thrilled to know that you used a tricolon/hendiatris (ἓν διὰ τριῶν, one through three) that Plutarch and Suetonius attributed to G. I. Cæsar as his dismissive comment on the short war he had waged against Pharnaces II of Pontus (which included part of Southern Ukraine) ;D.
