Citizenship application?
« on: August 14, 2010, 07:25:54 PM »
Hi folks
Question to all the people who have gone through naturalization.
We are sitting here this weekend putting the N-400 application and ALL of the documents together----any tips or suggestions? Nata has been reading all of the threads on Visa journey and poring over the USCIS web site. I think we have everything needed for this last important step.
Thanks

Just go over every line several times,,,dot the i's and cross the t's. If you pay a lawyer that's what they will do.
We did not use a lawyer and every thing went smooth.

If you pay a lawyer that's what they will do.

Actually the lawyer usually does nothing.  He relies on his helpers to read things over.  But a careful first person (you and she) will do a much better job than a distracted hired hand.

Lawyers will charge for making up a screwed up document; and then later charge you some more for fixing up the items that they screwed up.  Been there; experienced that.
