How to put specific portions of a posters statement into a rectangular box??

Top right corner of the person's post you'll see a link titled: Quote.

Click it and a response window will appear which contains all the info for your quote reference.

yes I know that much.  but after clicking Quote, there are a bunch of icons.  which one do I use in order to put only specific portions of a poster's Quote into a rectangular box??

use your computer's delete key to delete what you don't want, but make sure to leave the [/quote] portions....Thanks Tim for enlightening me....Duh!!!! :cluebat:

(I had been under the impression that I needed to click on one of the icons in order to do this)
