For the bride non-seekers
« on: March 25, 2011, 04:15:19 PM »
I know that most of you guys are looking to get married to a FSU woman, but I'm sure there a lot of you that are not primarily marriage minded. I know that the majority of folks frown upon this practice and call it sex tourism, but I think there is nothing wrong with a holiday romance provided that you DON'T lead the girl on. Especially if you are young and somewhat handsome this is only natural.

Anyways, I would love to hear your experiences, fellow flaggers!

Here is an interesting article about this practice:

Also Naughty Nomad's city guides are an amusing read (has a few FSU cities):

Your Nomad guy has missed the mark in Tallinn by a long shot. Where he has been there are places only frequented by drunk tourists and stag weekends. Most of the women he met at those places will have been hookers or pro daters from Ukraine and other ex Soviet states who land in Tallinn to ply their wares masquerading as "students" or "dancers".

Most native women (the proper ones he opines about at first) spot the sex tourists a mile off and give them a wide berth.

I had to laugh at one of his quotes:

Quote
Second night : invited her to my hostel for a bottle of red. After the bottle the conversation went something like this…

The hotels in Tallinn are laughably cheap. But our hero can only run to a hostel.  :rolleyes2:

The local women haven't been impressed with a foreign guy, in a hostel, clutching a three Euro bottle of red since the early nineties.

Well, I think the point is not to impress the girl with money but with charm, etc. Also Nomad is young (probably still under 30), he seems quite good looking from the pictures, and if his stories are true he is probably good with women in general. Also his city guides have a few (not many) western cities listed as well and those have actually a quite high rating of "Chance of Hooking Up". So to me this not about exploiting third world women by sleazy middle aged balding sex tourist with a pot belly that couldn't get laid in his home country if his life depended on it  (those look for hookers anyways)...

I do not approve of that Nomad guy being (self-defined) "international slut", but i sure admire his adventurousness. I'd like to live like that, just go wherever i want and do whatever i want and travel all around the globe :) That must be nice.

http://naughtynomad.com/2010/05/09/by-the-way-ive-hiv/
I hope the rest 350 women he did use a condom with. And then you wonder how these things spread. Seemingly (on the outside) normal guy running around spreading it, that's how

Can't even be bothered posting much of a response to such an immature topic.

a holiday romance
This probably won't close the subject out but why spend all the extra money on plane tickets.. visa..travel etc, when you can accomplish the same by going downtown in practically any city?

Well, of course you can, and it's often easier, for example American girls are quite "easy" compared to more traditional cultures (although the quality is generally quite low). I think the main motivation of his travels is not getting laid but more "normal" reasons like new experiences and adventure. His blog is a fun read a I read a few articles; he goes to places where it's very hard (or outright virtually impossible to hook up), e.g. Laos where you get $500 fine when caught with a local, or conservative Islamic countries. So travel itself is the main reason, girls are only secondary. Definitely makes an interesting blog.
If you ask me, traveling across the world just to see one girl who you are already considering for marriage before you even met her is waaay more weird...

Is it really? Is having a meaningful correspondance with a woman for some time and then wanting to meet her to find out if this is someone you can spend the rest of your life with... weird, compared to going away and spend time with a prostitute?

If you just want to have sex with a prostitute and want to do it abroad and with an added risk element, I would suggest Norway. Go to Oslo and hook up to a Nigerian prostitute and risk a $ 4000 fine if the sex police catch you in the act!
