I think you would appreciate this since I can see you are a car guy.

For my senior prom, back in medieval times, my mother's cousin handed me the keys to a brand new 1972 DeTomaso Pantera just for the night. I guess he heard that I was blind dated for the prom since I was not really looking for a date (it was a really small school) but our advisor insisted I take her daughter. You  can guess how blind dates go. On top of that she was a soph in college so I can imagine her mother forced her to go with me, a mere highschool kid. Well, I got to her house and the reaction was identical for both of us. Jaw dropped to the floor. My, she was stunning. And so was my car. Boy, what a night!!!

Wow.... I think I'd have skipped the Prom and headed straight for California..  ;D     What color?  Those early Pantera's were wild looking weren't they?  Didn't those have the 351 Cleveland?  (I think the same engine as the 72-74 Mustang Mach 1's .. though I could be mistaken with my failing memory)...     and another example of a mutually beneficial arrangement!  >:D

SkyBlue outside, black inside. 351 Cleveland (ay, ay, ay) with ANSA exhaust. Very different sound from the other 351s I should say. Seats were two plywood boards covered in leather but who cared. You were literally sitting on the floorboard. No powersteering (+100 except when parking), but power brakes and windows. 1st gear was on the bottom and really, you didn't need it. Trying to get those gearshifts (5, it was a ZF1) through the slots was an accomplisment by itself. Had a am/fm stereo only and all you could hear was the engine. Ah, yes. A/C.

Orgasm achieved in second gear.

Ha, you poor drivers of automatic-gearshift cars, no wonder there are no US Formula 1 drivers -  the only exception was M. Andretti (he probably retained some Italian driving genes ;D).

I also had a bottom-slot 1st gear in my 5-gear Fulvia Coupé:

I prefer not to have some dumb mechanism decide when to change gears, and manual down-shifting is far better for slowing a car down. Here only women are fond of automatic gearshifts ;).

Sandro, with all due respect, I've never owned a car with automatic transmition. I taught my wife, my oldest son and my daughter how to drive using a stick shift.

My first car was an NSU 1200 TTi.

Ah, a minority driver ;D.

NSU TTS 1976 at the Nürburgring
A friend of mine had an NSU Prinz 4, its air-cooled 2-cylinder engine sounded like a sewing machine :D.
Other 'cars' of the late 1950s, powered by an air-cooled 2-cylinder engine, were the Italian Isetta and the 3-wheeled German Messerschmitt KR175 with tandem seats:

I have very limited experience to share but I will offer what I can.

The only site  I used was EM.  I did the platinum deal.  I put up what I think was a decent profile with some actual content.  My pictures were less than stellar that's for sure....hell, I put up my 325 LB pics, haha... 250 lbs now... (at the time they were the only ones I had on my laptop)... anyway, in the month I had it active, I was (to my surprise) contacted directly by about 30 women.  With the exception of 2-3 of them, they seemed very legit, especially as almost all of them responded directly to some specific things I had put in my profile.  EM seems to be very legit from what I can gather...but like anything, you need to try to parse through the BS and use your head.  I will say, what I did find very suspicious for some reason was the ones who wanted to goto private email within the 2nd contact...not sure why, but it just felt like a red flag to me.

I searched probably 700 profiles...of those, I found 12 I liked and sent expressions of interest....half of them declined to be contacted further haha, which honestly, I really found refreshing as it solidified my thought that the place was mostly legit.  The girl I am with now was literally my top pick...sent her an EOI....didn't hear back from her for 6 weeks... in fact, I was done searching at that point (sort of got into this in a non-serious way, just more of a selfish, safe way to see what's out there)...and when she contacted me, I was thrilled....so far so good.

Anyway, not sure this adds anything, but best of luck!
