Is anyone else having problems with Vkontakte.ru?

In the last month or so I have been unable to play any videos or music on the site, the chat has not been working too well either, and now I can't log in to the site. The site though says I'm online when I'm not. It seems to be slowly breaking up.

I have just been told it has been hit by hackers over he past couple of weeks.

But its still a pain in the arse!!!

I have this problem too, first it was video and audio files not playing, now I can't even log in

.... Its maybe UK ISP's (Internet Service Providers) are blocking the site (Google: Vkontakte problems and Virginmedia) also o2 seems to have problems too, although BT customers don't seem to be having a problem with it. Not sure about hackers theory as it only seems to be the UK thats suffering, and I don't believe our "Russian Friends" are blocking us. Lets hope the "Russian Hackers" will help us (UK Residents) to find a way round this problem. Lets face it, Facebook is "Pants" compared to Vkontakte, and I for one will be sad if this problem is not resolved. Must be very annoying for Russian Citizens in the UK.

I had no problems with the site , so i think maybe it is a temporary error or something $:-\$

Its does not affect you, if you are in Russia !!!!! Only the United Kingdom is having problems

Yeah it does seem to be getting blocked by UK ISP. Also restrictions are starting to appear in other countries aswell, neither VK or the ISPs seem interested in dealing with the problem.

I have also noticed now that registration is "Invitation Only". So if you don't know anyone on there, you can't register.

Hi all

I am new to ths site

I am also facing problem logging in VK

Well, i was able to login but uable to isten audio,video for last 1month
As a solution to this problem i removed VK cookies

I was surprized to see I am unable to log in VK

Need solution to login VK

I have had this problem for over a month now.

I dont believe it will be resolved.
which is a shame,because it is a fantastic site.
but i am guessing because of all the copied materal on there.People in the UK will be unable to view it or listen to it.
very frustrating.

It all came back online yesterday. Thats with VirginMedia, not sure about other ISPs I know some (BT I think) never had any problems.

Log in ok, all video and audio is working and the instant chat is working.

Hi! I'm new here. I can't log in too for 2 days and my provider is BT!!! I'm temporary in the UK but my sister in Russia can log in to my page...

Now I knew it was too good to be true, must be something to do with Monday. Back to square one again, no log in, same as before

I found a way around the problem after going on a big Google search.

If www.vkontakte.ru does not work, try www.vk.com.

Sorry , yes I am a russian woman and happily married in the UK:)

I got the problem today in the vkontakte site, but i tried www.vk.com version and it worked perfectly fine, try that one!
