Translator and Guide in Kharkov
« on: November 27, 2011, 01:05:10 PM »
Hey, guys,
I just may be heading to kharkov in April 2012.  I'll post more details as things progress with the 2-4 ladies I am communicating with.  As of now, Apr 2012 looks like a possible trip for me.  My 2nd one to Ukraine.  My 1st was more of a pipe cleaner kinda of trip.  Had a blast there and I am looking forward to another trip if for no other reason that a pleasant vacation.
So, can anyone turn me on to a GREAT translator in Kharkov?  I would prefer a women to minimize some of the issues I have read about in the past.  Also, looking for a great person to work on an apartment with.  I would prefer to be reasonably close to the city center.
That's it for now.
Later,
Dale
Thanks,
Dale N.

I would recommand you to separate interpreter and transportation/appartement rental,
You can easily save 40% which can be worthly.
two links for transportation and rental (so from the airport or the train station you go to the appartement directly and get the key on site)
http://www.kharkovapartment.com/eserv.php?lang=en&flat=&page=1&t=&newsid=
or this one lhttp://www.kharkov-for-rent.com.ua/en/page4.html
Both sites speak english so you will have no problem of language.

For interpreter the price is between 10 and 12 $, professionnals.
I recommend this one : she speaks three languages, she is experimented, very discreet and helpful. Marina 0677278621. She will aks 10 $ per hour. Please of course, when she asks how much she  must pay for the lunch (the diner, drinks) tell her that free for her. A perla.
You can also call Olga 0509118967, her price will be higher.

For a good flat in downtown with a separated bedroom the price will be between 50 and 60 $ depending how many time you want to stay. Avoid higher prices.

Yes i am here to speak on behalf of Mila, i have recently returned back from a trip to Kharkov and was able to have the pleasure of having Mila as my guide. I must say Mila well exceed my expectations as an interpreter and as friend :) when i first arrived she knew exactly what to do with me after my long journey. Being a little nervous for the first time out of Australia Mila made me feel at home within Kharkov and showed me some great places, we spent much time together looking around and going to great restaurants. Her professionalism as a guide is of a very high standard, she is well organized and has a discount wallet for many places you might need, her command of English is very good and she knows how to have fun and have a good laugh :) Mila was completely looking out for my best interests and was always keeping an eye on my safety.

I did make the mistake of not taking her to an arranged date with me because the interpreter provided by the agency did not speak very good English which made things awkward, the whole time i was thinking 'god! where is Mila when i need her'. After the date i mentioned what happened and she told me off for not calling her to come and save me even though it was getting late and this is what i love about her, shes like my older sister or something ;)

She introduced me too some very sweet intelligent beautiful girls she knows personally and im happy to say things are going great and im happy to have had the pleasure to meet such genuine people

What more can i say we have become very good friends and i am very happy i have met her and her hubby Anton (my brother, sweet as) . Shes a good girl with a good heart and next time i look forward to her friendly scowl for me being cheeky ;) and also making sure i dont talk to strangers ;)

hope this helps dneid! and if you read this Mila love ya lots! say hi to Anton for me cant stop listening to the CD he made me mwah xx

What was the total bill of meeting and interpretation ?
And how many have you pay for taxi and flat ?
It will help newbies to have an idea how many they need to schedule for a trip.

Hello my name is Jimmy from Australia, i work in the desert contracted to Rio Tinto in the iron ore mines. im always looking to meet new people with good hearts and intentions. I am here to make friends and to also to provide my opinion from personal experience and to also receive advice. As for finding a wife im not overly in any hurry because i believe this will happen naturally for me but I must say i would like to become romantically involved with a girl from Ukraine because i love the culture and the people

Hey again Patagonie, tell you the truth dude (unknown to Mila at the time) i had tons of cash to splash on while on holiday and was not worried about the costs. I just left to her in the end because i trust her and then gave her a little extra above the quote when i departed also so its between her and i. If people would like to see her prices you can check her web site  http://www.mila-interpreter.com , she keeps an accurate account of hours.  My whole holiday including porcelain veneers, eating out every day and staying at 5 star hotels for 2 months was MEGA BUCKS dude!;) but totally worth the blood sweat and tears! back to work to to save and do it all again next year i say!

also if anybody has any questions or wants to chat on the phone (your paying) just send me a private mail and i will be more than happy to speak on behalf of Mila...unless im at work or asleep GMT+8 Perth, Australia TZ ;)

I would also like to add that Mila provides great apartment services

cheers

We are really happy that you have enjoyed Ukraine so much, trust is important and she worths it.
About appartements she doesn't do anything special you would have the same service here  http://www.kharkovapartment.com/eserv.php?lang=en&flat=&page=1&t=&newsid=  for 40% less.
