The Maksim Chmerkovskiy Effect
« on: August 27, 2011, 09:45:26 AM »
As many of you might know, Maksim  Chmerkovskiy is the brooding hunk on Dancing with the Stars.

He was recently the Bachelor who had his choice of the gals on the Ukrainian version of that program.

He made his final selection and she came to USA.  Not sure how she came . . . Fiance visa or other type.

Anyway, as I have heard the story from the Ukrainian woman now living with me;  he 'sent her back' to Ukraine after only a few weeks.

Now the result:

My UW has more than once mentioned that I might 'send her back.'
That is, the
Maksim Chmerkovskiy Effect seems  to be working strong with her.

She tells me many of her female friends in Ukraine were quite shocked and worried when this happened so quickly and publically to Maksim's gal.

Note:  This is particularly strange with my UW because (as I have outlined in other posts) she has a few hundred thousand dollars of her own and is here on a student visa.  So I couldn't 'send her back' even if I wanted to.

Anyone else have anything to report on this 'effect.'

Note:  The next Bachelor for the Ukrainian version will be one of the Klitschko
boxing champion brothers.  He is not a resident of USA, so he can't 'send anyone back' . . . but I guess he could 'send her back' to her city, or her own apartment.

A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

My UW has more than once mentioned that I might 'send her back.'

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Effect seems  to be working strong with her.

They have decided not to disclose the reason for the breakup and she described him as funny, clever, and charming.  She has a 5 year visa and will probably return to visit the US as she liked it.   She kept the $30000 ring.  Will they meet again?

I would say his behavior was much better than most of the ladies.  Supposedly several ladies were very bitter (sore losers) on the post-show discussion shows.

Example:

A comment from another forum:
"Marina had an online conference.  She didn't say much spoilers related.  One comment I found to be interesting. "Maks needs a bitch. That's for sure. He talks about wanting a normal girl, family but he needs a bitch."  She sounded pretty happy, seems like she has a guy in her life now and some TV projects on her way.  She was pretty honest about her reasons of doing the show:EXPOSURE.  I think this reason will apply to all the girls.  She mentioned that Yana did have feelings for Maks though."

Another forum comment about a Maksim interview:
Something else I came across a recent interview article done by Maks he says he was surprised by the changes in the Ukraine women and how they want everything. He says it wasn't that way when he left. I guess 16 years ago they were just coming out of Soviet repression and people were different.

ML-
I can't imagine your gal would base much off a reality TV show?
adding in her visa depends nothing on you really, and it just shows her interest in you is the main focus of her trip.
(a good thing?)

Does she buy into the whole thing , that there might be true love involved in most reality TV series?

Maks got exposer (while you mighht think he doesn't need it, publicity and popularity is the main salary negotiating point  for any actor/dancer in such position)
the girl got a 5 year visa, a 30K ring, and lots of exposer.

To think it wasn't a business transaction on all parts, the producers, and the players, from the very beginning, seems a tad naive, to me anyway.

As far as repercussions or a *maks effect* ,
I do currently have a fiancee here, with the 90 day K1 clock ticking.Absolutely no mention or worry, of me sending her home ,her wanting to go home,
or any worries over Maks' decision either.

Like many peoples impressions formed off merely a TV Screen persona, she thinks maks may love himself a bit too much to actually truly love anyone else.
(and yes she realizes that impression could be completely inaccurate since its based on incredibly limited data and *made for TV* and ratings,  illusions)

Currently a couple of real friends having problems , don't effect her view of our relationship, so certanly some *TV fluff* wouldn't. So no *maks effect* is expected.
