Hi, I'm Jerry
« on: April 18, 2012, 11:48:23 PM »
Hi everyone,

My name is Jerry and after my divorce, I started to put my life back together again and started thinking outside the box.  I've joined several sites for Russian/Ukranian girls and after spending hundreds of dollars, wonder which are real and which are scams.

I'm serious about finding someone and it's frustrating sometimes.

The serious ones are the ones who will not contact you but are waiting for you to take action. They can be found on any site, but you will have to put effort in there.

Before starting, you have to get your own act together.
That means that if you explore the possibility, you have to ask yourself:
- When will you be able to travel to meet someone
- Can you afford future trips to the FSU to meet with family
- Do you have some extra spare time to guide someone new to your country

Then read the Ten Commandments, and prepare:
- A skype or similar phone service
- Understanding of foreign language patterns
- learn to speak and write without slang

Ready ? Ok now you get on to the sites.
- Write the profiles you are interested in. Never forget to read the profile and in your letter try to pick some points from there
- Do not be lazy sending a standard introduction letter to everyone. This is not a job application.
- If you get an answer, try to read about the place where she lives, and ask questions that show personal interest
- In a few letters, get her phone number and CALL. Do check her time so you will not call at work or in the middle of the night.
- If possible (and it usually is if she is interested) use a method of direct chat. If she is unsure about her language in a call, she might be able to write you in a chat, as she can use a dictionary for words she does not know at once.
- As you are already prepared, if you feel you have a good connection with one or more women, plan your trip and get over there.

You can do everything on your own, but in case you need help with anything there are many agencies and people who can assist.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

Hi Jerry, welcome to RWD. I'll give you the same advice I give everyone thinking of going to the FSU, start learning Russian now. Any women you meet will appreciate that you've shown the initiative to learn her language.  Also unless you're financially well off start saving money.  Trips to the FSU are expensive and you'll probably make several.  If you do marry there will be lots of expenses in bringing her to your hometown and of course the financial support she'll need for a few years.  Good luck in your search.

First rule, don't send any money if money is a serious issue with you.
Rule # 2 - Avoid agencies who will charge you to open a letter, refuse to give you her information and insist you only use their services.
Finally, be very wary of tours.

WOW! Shadow never ceases to amaze.

Jerry, pay attention to this advice. It is all true, spot on and you'll find it very helpful
