Traveling to Ukraine late October

I will be traveling to Odessa and Sevastopol in late October / early November for about 3 weeks.  Is anyone else going to be there around that time?  It would be nice to meet up, share war and/or horror stories about how well (or poorly) our search for the ladies is proceeding.

you received tons of constructive advice.  I seem to remember that you indicated that you have some experience.  If that is true, then you didn't learn much from that experience.  RW can be very blunt. Brutally blunt.  If the responses here drive you as crazy as they seem to, I'll say it without mincing words - this is not for you.


You made some really goofball comments... such as "hopefully coming home engaged".. uh..  if that's your goal, then that's what you'll probably do...      rationalizing, making excuses, um *settling*..


I recommend investing in a decent bed of nails and rolling around on it daily to toughen up that skin.

grammar is wrong this way. It's the same as you wouldn't say: "I'm to sit with a buddy of mine chatting about politics" when you mean to say: "I'm sitting with a buddy of mine chatting about politics".
You just wouldn't use present indefinite tense in this case.

or you can say it like this if you wanted to use the verb "to learn in it's present indefinite form:

По крайней мере, надо выучить несколько фраз.
Это поможет вам.


Or: По крайней мере, было бы хорошо выучить несколько фраз.
Это поможет вам.  which means: "At least it would be good to learn a few phrases. This will help you"
