Mamba.Ru doesn't work for me?i must be doing something wrong

I do not understand how people are getting such high response rates on mamba.ru. I placed a profile in Russian language and I send out Russian Google translated messages. I also have 4-6 photos up ,nothing in a suit or flashing cars or material wealth. I also do not smile in my photos, more a serious look. I tell them I speak some Russian and that I am working in their city. Its an industrial city with few English speakers but also few foreigners. I assumed I would get 20% response rate at least. I also do not narrow search , so hookers, sponsor girls and girls up to 40 are being sent messages(i am spamming copy and paste). Anyone tell me what works?

Of course I thought about the issue that my mug can be not their "type". However, I think my photos should be adequate, and FSU girls have considered me handsome/good-looking in the past in real life. Also its generally known they do not reject based on looks mostly and after looking at the "TOP 100" guys, I gotta say,if you minus the guys who were voted top 100 because of muscular bodies, the remaining guys look like they got 2 cents haircuts, dress crappy, and all wear sunglasses half their face size.
Someone spell out how to do FSU INTERNET like a champ please.

1. a smile is always good.  At least one photo could have you smiling.

2. have you cross-checked the translation?  Maybe it makes you sound stupid without you realizing it.

Response rates are generally low on  all the dating sites.

One reason is that many of the women (and guys also) put up profiles with throw away email addresses.  After some time, they forget about their profiles and don't even check this throw away address for incoming messages.

I generally got response rates of less than 20%.
This is why it is important to send out messages to several hundreds or even a thousand women (on multiple dating sites) to get a response from 50 to 100 women to start the serious screening process.

Just ignore all the pics and profile write-ups and do your first screening on city, age, height, weight, drinker, smoker and English.

I always wrote my profile in English and sent all messages in English because I would never meet with a woman who couldn't communicate in English anyway.

A profile and messages written in Russian could be a killer . . . unless they are  written by someone you trust with your life.  And then you are going to be dealing with some of the disasters we read here periodically about guys spending several days with a non-English speaking gal AND an interpreter and not even getting a kiss from EITHER one AND wondering WTF is the story.

I used mamba for a bit, Put a few good pic's, write short and simple profile, in English.
Write short letters to any girls you wish to hear from, make it to them.
read profile, take something from there profile, to comment on.
I only wrote in English at beginning. Would use translator for a few that did not understand.
But they would write me and tell me this! SO they looked and were somewhat interested.

My response rate on mamba, 75%

Ukraine date 60%
For a few weeks I used
fdating over 80%
I used the kiss system, also was very honest
But first response was always good.

that's the point    It is next to impossible to really know who you are dealing with using an electronic translator IMO.

don't use google translate for starters, try this one.

first it also has back translate. this makes a big difference.
Then play with it. Keep sentences short.
remember with Russian, you can use several coma's
in one sentence, it will can change the words.
This to start and begin is fine.
But once you get serious, if the lady has limited English
You need a proper person to translate for you!
At least the more important, or serious conversations.
You can still have small, daily skype chats with this.
I also keep notes for anything that does not translate well.
so when you do 3 person/ translator calls.
you can remember things, you wished to get across.
If your lady or you does not have the patience for this.
Then likely wrong search for you and her!
As this is not a short adventure.

You are right, Noch1, good points! This use of e-translators will work for a very basic conversation. However if you are trying to impress a lady with your intellect it's not going to happen. It's getting harder and harder to find women interested in Americans so a man has to be able to communicate his intelligence, sense of humor and worldliness, talk about books, philosophy, history, etc. These are the things that will make you stand out from the crowd and make her wanna get to know you better. "Me Tarzan, you Jane" ain't gonna do it!

And I would agree that that's a big part of it. Slumba, sorry for the late reply but I wasn't near my comp until now. Many Russians, and this includes Russian women are now living the "American dream"...in Russia. And while Russians are generally getting richer Americans are generally getting poorer. Many RW get excellent education and earn 2 or 3 degrees. They have interesting career or some run a successful business, own a nice car and many own their own apartment. They travel on vacation to Western Europe or beautiful resort towns in Turkey, Egypt, Thailand, India, South America, Carribean islands and even the USA to name a few. Many are just not willing to settle for a local man who is average or below average so why would they settle for an average American man? It used to be that an average American was looked at as being rich and exciting compared to an average Russian and yes, there was an element of "glamour attached to a man with a blue passport. But those days are gone.
If you are American and looking for a 9 or a 10 from Moscow or Piter - good luck! You'll need it. I find it very hard even if a guy is good looking and well off. Your chances may be a bit better in more provincial areas but even there it's going to take a lot of work and luck.


However it is still pretty easy to find 7s and 8s who would consider getting to know an American or Canadian but he needs to be able to get them interested with good conversation, show his nice personality, sense of humor and basically keep her interest by having a good conversation.  Sure, a few men might get lucky doing this using an on line translator but IMO it's going to be pretty tough to do.


Also very important is to understand the situation on the ground there and to have realistic expectations and this includes being objective about yourself as well as RW.
